Owen VS Drogba
Hi, I am back again after disappear for almost a week due to busy in movement of my residence. Although Owen and Drogba are inconsistency, they reached some World-Class seasons.

Skill Analysis
They are different style of player. Drogba is much stronger while Owen is much faster. In overall, they could be considered in the same level.
Performance Analysis
Owen is believed reaching World-Class in domestic league for twice seasons (1998 -1999, 2001 - 2002) plus 4 international-class. Drogba is considered reaching World-Class 1.5 seasons (Half 2006 - 2007, 2009 -2010) Plus 4 International-Class (2 Seasons in French League and 2 seasons in Premier League). However, Drogba is clearly better than Owen in European international club. For NT career, they are considered in the same level.

2 of the best strikers of the last decade but personally I find it hard comparing them or picking between them, they would make a great partnership tho
but if we are comparing greatness, I would go with Drogba because between 2004-2007 he was the most feared striker in the world. Also, they are still playing and Drogba has been more relevant over the last couple years than Owen

I love Owen but Drogba is greater since Owen was never allowed to reach the greatness due to his injuries.

I would take Owen pre- injury up to 2004.
2001 this guy was AMAZING...... everytime he entered the pitch it was INSANE football and goalscoring.
But Drogba had the more consistency as he din't have to deal with the injuries that Owen did.
After 2006 , Owen became an ex- football player in activity (and i hate saying those type of things)

No way. Owen had retired by the time Drogba started getting good.

In 2002/03?
Not that I disagree with that, but 1998 to 2002 in a poor EPL + a famous WC goal doesn't make a star. Well it does, but not a bigger one than Drogba.
If it were a personality contest though..

so what is your point? Owen's career was early, Drogba was a late bloomer given he relied on physical play and not on pure skill. They both play now, who would you take today?

I think Drogba's international achievement is more impressive. Where were the Cote d'Ivoire before him? I mean, he pretty much single-handedly ended the civil war!
Drogba was fantastic in France. Took him a while to adjust with Chelsea, but I thought he was already a great player since he joined them.
Drogba no doubt.

Owen. He's younger. Drogba is finished.

Effectively retired. He should have never gone to Madrid.
Anyway, he's scored seventeen times since joining United. And has a lot more career goals than Drogba, who is two years his senior.
Plus Owen is my favourite ever player.

Drogba always did much more than scoring though, whereas Owen was quite one-dimensional. I agree that Drogba is basically finished though.

Owen - 221 club goals + 40 international = 261
Drogba - 224 club goals + 54 international = 278

Really. I bet you couldn't score with an Ivorian prostitute... lol
Owen even in his prime did not inspire the same level of fear in defenders as Drogba did circa 2006

Drogba AND Owen?:

[I tend to agree w/cutthroat here: Drogba & Owen are different yet complimentary types of strikers. Drogba is/was a fairly mobile No.9 centre-forward who's on the pitch to bash the opposition's back-line to bits while Owen (at his best) was the speedy "predator"-type of striker who worked-off of what Drogba "brought to the table". Drogba & Owen should both be up for two different spots in a starting XI; not the same one IMHO.]
