Who are these guys dearman?

the only good ones that i have seen is Roy of the Rovers or Roy Race.

Any other fail to add anything worthwhile.

Btw, bring Dagoods back.... he is really fun and brought discussion etc... and he was funny!

It is normal story you cannot remmeber them as I said they appeared for a few times and then disappeared such as moderator of Bigsoccer and some members there.

I also feel that XT history forum becoming boring, in the sense of:
- Many useless thread created.
- Personal discussions who deviated the main topic.
- Missing of some notable posters like Roy, Dagoods, Kajoo & others who can make "advanced discussion".

Some suggestions:
- Put together useless thread in only one. There's many threads who talk about same topic with any difference point of analysis.
- Give to newbies a limited capacity to created threads (others posters can give them points in favor or against).

BTW, it exist the way to created a closed group, where the creator send invitations to others to discuss a topic, before opening the thread?

That does not work. The forum will become more moderated.

The thing is the moderator to either merge a thread or clsoe the thread when some retarded poster posts it.

Sorry, I don't explain me well.

I had a project in mind, makes a "long-list" of the best South American players by position for every decade (each one divide into 2-3 eras). It would be like 10 players by position for each era.

Is a hardly work, and i think it would good, whether some notable posters can help (invited for me) to give a better form or methodology (discussing in a close group) before the thread will be posted to open public.

The point is many extensive/hard projects who were interesting, it dissapears for opening quickly, lack of preparation or most commonly, many threads created that repeat same thematic with any original vision.

Hello guys, starting today I´m new FM in History Forum. I´ll do my best to keep that place interesting. My priorities will be:

1. Discussing history. No place for discussing recent events, players, teams etc. Whoever mention Messi or Cro7 will be politely redirected to WFF

2. No repetitive or generic threads. Those will be merged.

3. No one-liner replies please. If you are going to be critical towards someone´s opinion, explain why.

4. Let´s be a newbie-friendly forum. They will never be great addition to this forum when we drive them away. Can you now imagine this forum without Homes ?

5. to be added later, now I´m off to a work.

Keeping the high standard of HF isnt easy task, and I ask everyone of you to be part of a moderating team by reporting wrong stuff.
