I'l criticise Colomba for this.
We look so unmotivated its unbelieveable, we came here exepcting nothing and it looks like the team knows that and is content to run around until the bus home.
What a miss from Giovinco should have been 2-1.

3-0 Milito.
This is literally so painful to watch. The one week Milito bags two before half time we dont have a fanta calcio week. Typical.

It seems to me the team does well when the midfield plays well. today, Galloppa was woeful and Morrone was invisible (he has been invisible for many matches already).
Given the state of this defense, I'm surprised we haven't been linked with a defender in the mercato. Even an idiot could see that our defenders are indefensible. The goals we concede have primarily come from strikers who are left completely open in front of goal.
Pelle maybe could be a midfielder but he has no touch on goal whatsoever.
I like what Musacci did after he came on.

What a disgrace. Inter wasnt even that special, still trashed us 5-0...
We should have scored 1-3 goals, but didnt even get one. Our defence sucks like always. I hope 5 goals are enough to sack Colomba.
Only positive thing of this night: Danilo Pereira got a chance and played pretty well IMO.

Luigi De Canio, Walter Zenga and Roberto Donadoni new names for Colomba's replacement.
Nothing inspiring. Zenga and Donadoni should be able to keep us up.

I just got done watching the game and here are the three glaring problems for me.
(1) The mentality.
(2) The formation.
(3) Our central defenders are horrible.
We were going to lose this game after 5 minutes today because of one glaring thing. Inter Milan had 4 central based midfielders to our 2.
The module is a major problem against a 4-3-1-2 formation. This was how the midfield looked and this is why we got so raped.
Alvarez
Morrone - Galloppa
Cambiasso - T.Motta - Zanetti
I really don't know what we expected. It was bad enough that it was 2 vs 3 and then one of our central defenders, normally Paletta, always had to stand forward and try to close down Alvarez which then left Inter with Milito and Pazzini against one central defender.
There was a glaring imbalance and that's why Inter could dominate us so easily.
Not only that, of course everyone saw our god awful mentality from minute one but IMO the major problem was the one above. Our defence is crap but they have no protection because our midfield is overun.
We have no left winger in the squad and we need to drop the idea of playing with wingers and consolidate our midfield with three central midfielders so that we can compete.
Pereira was a glaring light. He makes it look like he has a lot of time and clearly has enough quality to start in this team already. I also have some hopes for Musacci because he is a guy who at least wants to use the football.
IMO, we must move to a 4-3-1-2. Not a fan of narrow formations usually but this is what we need to do. We have done OK in the past with just two central midfielders but we are really suffering in the last 3 games in the middle. This is where games are won and we are too weak there.
Giovinco can still operate centrally and we can move Biabiany closer to the goal in a two with Floccari where he can still move into the flanks so we can use some width.
For me, considering Galloppa is suspended next game we must play the following way:
Mirante
Zaccardo - Paletta - A.Lucarelli - Gobbi
Morrone - Pereira - Musacci
Giovinco
Biabiany - Floccari
Other than that we need to forget Okaka and being interested in a forward, we can score goals but we cannot stop them. With the change in formation our defence would have more protection but we still need improvements. We effectively need a brand new central defence but I would take at least one guy for now.
A new central defender of quality, a change of module and a change of mentality and we can still do OK for now. I am not sure sacking Colomba is the right idea because I think we can scrape through the season and replace him in the summer for a full time coach. If we appoint a new coach now he will most likely just be another stop gap until the summer so unless things get dramtically worse, ie a loss to Siena and Bologna then I would stick by the coach for now.
I feel bad for you Djet. I hope you had a fun week in Milano to at least cover up for this crap performance.
