I know we have a lot of threads on here as it is but I figured this one would be interesting where we can share our predictions in all the Serbian related sports and outside such as EPL and what not. Also a /betting thread where we can exchange stories on how much money we made :) or lost

I had a motivation for this thread after seeing all the excitements that's to come in September. It's definitely going to be hard on the heart but i'll start off with the predictions.

EP WaterPolo- Gold (7-6) It's either going to be a Montenegro-Croatia final or Serbia-Croatia final. I can't see anything else happening here and if we do make it to the finals I think the Croats will choke at their own home. Too much pressure on their players while we have nothing to lose considering we're not the reigning champions(Montenegro).

SP Basketball- Silver (70-64) With the form we are in and the Ivkovic at charge along with our talented youngster I don't see anything less than Semis but i'll even take it one step further and say we reach the finals(if we don't play Spain in the semis) Even without Pau I think Spain have incredible debt and team chemistry. Their gameplay doesn't suit us and I think we would fair against the inexperienced USA better than Spain. Spain to win gold comfortably. Also, if you look at the previous World Championships in basketball USA has hardly done anything.

SP Volleyball- Gold (straight sets) Again, anything less than Semi's would be a dissapointment. I think this team has what it takes to take it to the next level and take out Brazil. It's payback this time and the only teams I see causing us trouble are Russia and Brazil.

US Open- Nole(Final) Jelena(Semis) Ana(3rd round) Tipsarevic(2nd round) Troicki(3rd round)

Nole- If he plays the same tennis he played at the Rogers cup against Pederer then we will see quite a showing from him. I also believe his conditioning has improved. He looks in much better shape than in the previous majors. Fed or Nadal to take title.

Jelena- She always likes to show off at the US Open and she tries extra hard here because all her American friends are watching. The women's draw is completely unpredictable and anything can happen but we'll see.

Ana- I think she'll be back again one day but not this year that's for sure. She played some inspiring tennis recently but she's not physically ready to be in the top ten yet.

Tipsarevic- Unpredictable but doesn't fair well at the US Open usually. His level of tennis is dropping recently.

Troicki- Has improved a lot since last year. I think he could even suprise and make it a round further. We'll see how his ambitions fair.

EP Football- Serbia vs Faroe Islands (4-0) Anything other than a win and Antic should resign from football forever. I think the Greece game was enough of a humilation for him and our nation. I'm expecting a new lineup. I'm expecting some new faces in the starting lineup(Tosic&Lazovic) and i'm expecting our players to go full intensity the whole 90 minutes. The first game dictates everything. I'm glad we have an easy game first round and rarely does Antic ever underestimate our opponents which is one of his quality traits and why I predicted a 4-0 smashing at home.

Betting: I don't bet not because I don't gamble but because I don't fully understand it yet. Seems tricky but I know a lot of people who constantly come out with more money than they put in every month. Guess it takes practice.

Would love to hear everyones predictions though.

And RSF- You better not close my thread you old bastard :ass:

Come on MR Supermpump its a easy bet.

DRAW 0.0

What is harder to predict is when the fighting will happen...my prediction is the 40-45min mark :)

I want Partizan to win, but I think the safest bets are Red Star "win or draw" or under 2.5 (if available). They've only allowed two goals in 8 games, and since the draw suits them just fine, defense minded tactics will probably be deployed. Also who knows how a surely emotional Stojkovic will react to stepping foot in the Marakana wearing a Partizan jersey. The Stojkovic factor has me worried to be honest. I'm just hoping for an incident free derby, and of course a Partizan win

A couple other good bets for the weekend

St Pauli vs FC Cologne + 360 for St Pauli which is amazing cause they've had an excellent season so far while Stuttgart have been horrendous.

Mainz vs Bayer Leverkusen +295 for Mainz

I've lost 4 bets already. This is unfuckingbelievable

I only have like one bet live and that's my favorites bet where if I lose that I give up. This shit is impossible to predict man every damn week someone messes me over.

This business is mostly luck DZ unless you are talented in this form of gambling and have a keen eye. Of course one needs a huge football knowledge and good resources to make perfect picks week in and week out.

I'm thinking of becoming a referee so I can decide my own picks :D

It feels as if St. Pauli could snatch points against Stuttgart because of several reasons.

a) Stuttgart are the third worse home team this season whereas St. Pauli have won all away games minus one thus far.
b) VfB are coming off 90 minutes on Thursday night and the recovery will most likely be a problem.

The history though says VfB will win as they won all games minus one and tied the last. 6-1-0 in seven games that is..

St. Pauli are just missing Sukuta-Pasu who's a really talented striker while Stuttgart won't be able to count on guys like Didaví and Delpierre (who's been absolutely horrible so far..)

You'll need plenty of luck here.

You kinda expect Stuttgart, Schalke, Werder and Bayern to start winning some matches, they're better than their league position would suggest.

On the other hand, betting against Koln and Gladbach is a sure thing, those teams are absolutely dreadful and will be relegated this year.

#218 ·
You forget that traschi is supposed to be back tomorrow.

I put a bet on both Mainz and st Pauli to win. St Pauli are bound to be Stuttgart eventually and tomorrows their best chance ever to do it. Good luck to both for my sake

Btw zoric tomorrow for the first time I'm a Los putos Aka atletico Madrid fan as I have multiple bets involving them winning. They better not let me down or I'm going to by an atleti flag and burn it!!!!!!!!

Träsch actually played in mid-week against Getafe where he was excellent until he was subbed out in the 65th minute. It all depends because if Stuttgart can get the first goal, then they'll most likely be able to win this game, same goes for St. Pauli. I'm also wondering how VfB's defence will play as they're never reliable and very unpredictable.

Multiple bets on Atlético? :howler:

Good luck, man, you'll need it. If there's one thing I tell my friends, then it's the following.

NEVER PLACE A BET ON ATLÉTICO MADRID!

Musacchio and Borja Valero are out for Villarreal through suspensions while Garrido have recuperated Senna and Marchena as well as Ángel, I think Marchena is the most doubtful at this point though as Senna seems to be back but you can never know until 30 minutes before kick-off. The best case scenario is that Catalá has to play which means they'll have a inexperienced CB-pairing against Kun, Reyes, Simão and one of Diego Costa/Forlán.

Atlético are missing Álvaro Domínguez but Godín is returning to El Madrigal for the first time. Valera got injured but Ufo should play at right-back anyways. As for the rest of the back-four, several papers are predicting Antonio López as left-back, I want to see Flilipe Luís but he seems a bit tired so we'll see, the difference in terms of attacking is huge though. That is a given. Forlán is in horrible form at the moment, he's simply exhausted and haven't had a proper pre-season, only 21 days and 14 days of individual training. Agüero and Diego Costa though worked really well against Rosenborg, the link-up between Kun and Reyes was superb and it took Agüero 60 seconds to score a goal on Thursday.

Also, this is Villarreal's third game in six days (!) but Garrido rotated by starting Rossi and benching Nilmar against PAOK. Gonzalo, Rossi, Capdevila, Ángel and Bruno have all 180 minutes in their legs and might be tired, same applies to Cazorla who's played 165 minutes in four days and he's usually a player who gets injured often.

Atlético have won once on El Madrigal after a goal by Fabiano Eller when Franco was crying like a girl. That's the only win over there, otherwise it's 5-3-1 for Villarreal. So, a very tough bet which I don't believe in. Btw, they were close to win a couple of seasons ago but Banega had to screw up everything, Atléti went from being up by 2-0 to down 4-2 and then to score 4-4..crazy game :D

#221 ·
DZ, you made a classical mistake. You didn't check line ups, injuries, players being rested, home and away forms, etc. That's why I don't make risky bets. I mean when team A is playing a much weaker team B they might rest their best players. Meaning team B has a better chance. You often make this mistake.

#224 ·
Always against FCB, always. As for EL, well, they basically won the tournament by tying their way to the final :D

#226 ·
LOL @ DZ you thought you could become rich like Nibble instantly. Gambling you will never be up unless you are the luckiest person on this planet. Multis are a the best way to go cause its a small bet, when you start playing cards and slots thats when it gets dangerous!
