FK OLIMPIK POTPISAO PET IGRAČA

Piše: Velvet
Petak, 12.06.09. 13:23.

Just curious, does anyone have any better pictures of Olimpik's stadium in Otoka? All the ones I've seen are really poor and don't capture the entire stadium.

Nah. I wrote an article on the club a few months ago and had the exact same problem. Best one I found was this one:

Od mora do Save
Od Drine do Une

Huh, well, thanks for the contributions. I heard not too long ago there's some sort of plan for stadium expansion/redevelopment?

Yea, I'm pretty sure the municipality owns the stadium, and they're just allowed to play on it. Then again, I think Zeljeznicar's the only Bosnian team that actually owns its own stadium.

I am actually not sure how you would be a proper fan of such a team. Founded in 1993 with the long tradition of everyone supporting either one of the big two i just cannot see how you would be a Olimpik supporter a proper one at least. Still i would rather see them in Premijer Liga than some other teams

I mean, even back when FK Sarajevo started out, fans came along with good results. Regardless of the name/location. For example, once Hoffenheim, a team that was virtually unknown internationally, came about with Ibisevic ripping up the net, it wasn't unheard of foreigners and even local Germans buying the team's kit.

I imagine the same thing will happen with Olimpik. Especially with our younger generations. It takes a little bit of time and patience, but they seem incredibly ambitious and the club in general is run completely differently than anything else we've got floating around in the Premijer Liga. It's just a matter of time until we see little kids sporting Olimpik's green jersey.

To be honest with the way both the Sarajevo clubs have been run we probably deserve to get our asses kicked by Olimpik home and away, imagine that

We all know the shit that Zeljo is in, and by the looks of it the preparation at FKS aint much better. The football scene of Sarajevo could really do with a breath of fresh air.

That's exactly what I'm so excited/ready for. They're still a very small club, but seeing a team that was established in 1993 end up ruling the Premijer Liga is what our larger clubs need. It's the perfect wake up call. And who knows, if things play out properly, Olimpik may develop a growing group of fans who are tired of Sarajevo/Zeljeznicar's reign of bullsh*t.

@VELEZ1922: If you don't mind, I'd appreciate it if you could resize that photo you posted. It messes with the width of the thread and makes reading a regular post harder.

I guess the deal's back on with Spalevic. Hopefully he'll be able to sink in a few for Olimpik this upcoming season.

Na stadionu Igmana

OBAVLJENA PROZIVKA OLIMPIKA

Piše: Prodigy
Subota, 27.06.09. 15:37.

And the team's officially assembled. I can't say a whole lot about the players, because I'm familiar with very few of them. Whatever, only time will tell. A relatively young team with (what appear to be) high expectations/disciple, great coach, and proper club management...just can't possibly go wrong.

I can't wait for the next season to begin, and see how the "dream team" performs.

Below, a render of Otoka stadium after renovation/construction:

The stadium will look great, and it'll have the perfect capacity for the size of a club like Olimpik. Easy to fill up, creating a nice atmosphere, etc.

Nice design. That place needed a makeover badly.

Yea, thankfully it's getting one. Unfortunately, there's still that mosque right next door. I don't know whose idea it was to build that there, but it makes everything in that block seem out of place.

Mladi premijerligaš kompletirao ekipu

VRANIĆ NA GOLU OLIMPIKA

Piše: Brza zmija
Utorak, 30.06.09. 22:07.

Does anyone know much about this guy, Dragan Vranic? I can't find a single thing, but I guess Musimovic deemed him worthy.
