Israel U-21 has beaten Bulgaria away in a very important result to advance the European championship in 2011. The NT who had a dissapointing draw against Kazakhstan in the opening round beat the Bulgarian in the 90th minute with a Ben Sahar goal.
The hosts opened the score already in the third minute, Israel got bakc to game and made it 3-1, plus one Bulgaria player wa sent off later. Everything seemed in our favour, but the hosts managed to tie the game. Ben Sahar was there on the right spot to give all 3 points to Israel in injury time. Now we lead the group with 4 points togehter with Kazakhstan. Montenegro has 3 points while Sweden and Bulgaria have 0. Only reminding that Sweden hasn´t played any games yet. They will participate in the Euro 2009 that will take place this week.

Not the qualifiers, the final tournament itself. We lost in the playoffs with a strong Italian side that included names such as Giovinco, Ballotelli, Criscito.
We are now playing the qualifiers for the 2011 finals.

Wouldnt half of the team or atleast 75% of it not be able to play in 2011 since they would be considered seniors?

Yes, but they have a rule regarding this issue if i am not mistaken. Apparently the players who played in the qualifiers are able to play in the competition something like that.
I remember in 2007 when Israel qualified for the finals in Holland, that several players were 22 years old like Shlomi Arbeitman for example.

Yeah they played well especially in the first half.
10 minutes from time Guy Asulin was subbed and in a surprising, but nice gesture from the Serbian fans he received a standing ovation for his excellence performance in the game.

Usually it is like this. The U-21 gives better results than the senior team.

Probable lineup:
Boris Kleiman; Oded Elkayam, Israel Rosh, Rami Guershon, Avi Rikan; Oshri Roash, Bibras Natcho, Guy Asulin, Mohamed Ghadir, Hen Azriel, Toto Tamuz
Good lineup up IMO.
We still have the likes of Dor Malul, Idan Vered, Tal ben Haim on the bench, plus the absence of Eyal Golasa who is with the senior squad.

This is a must win right here, but I think we can pull it off, and take first place from Kazakhstan.
