Joey Barton transfer listed - told he can leave on a free
Barton has been jailed for 6 months today. I suppose he'll probably be let out early for good behaviour, so will be back some time around Octoberish. What does this mean for his career?

Do we sack him or do we keep him?
To be fair the club knew what he was like when we signed him and I'd like to think there's something written into his contract regarding what would happen if he went to jail. He's a horrible character, but I'm not really sure if we can afford to write him off as much as I'd like to.

I think this guy should be sacked, it's apauling behaviour for a professional athlete especially in a sport which the players are so idolised by the countrys youth. i think something would have been put into his contract seeing as a jail sentance could have been on the cards anyways with the dabo incident. If Sam allardyce and Shepard had anything at all about them they would have had a contract with Man city where by if the player goes to jail he his previous club will refund the clubs money or offer compensation to some degree
Do you know that 5 in 4 people have trouble with fractions.

The footage has been released of the assault he's already been jailed for and going purely off that I'd sack him! I don't want a player like that representing Newcastle. He's also changed his plea to guilty for the Dabo case, he'll almost certainly get more jail time and rightly so, just hope the club take appropriate action.
