The Cercle Brugge Thread

Seriously, beating Genk 5-1, they deserve their own thread

Can they win the league??

They've only lost once since round 3, they score a goal per match more than the competition leader and they play great football.

On the other hand Club has been very consistent getting their narrow wins and has a game in hand. And let's not forget GBA, only 1 point behind and still receiving Cercle at home. And Standard who hasn't lost yet. And Anderlecht...

Anyway... Leve Cercletje

They have some big games comin' up:

Zulte-Waregem (Away)
Standard (Home)
Dender (Away)
AA Gent (Away)

If they get through these games without many problems, they could start thinking about challenging for the title. But right now, it's way too early.. Yeah they play some good football, but we're only halfway

Btw, when you start singing "Go mor nor Loppem", you'd better realize you don't have a stadium anymore when we leave

If your fantastic 4 (De Smet - De Sutter - Iachtchouck - Gombami) stay fit I think Cercle gan go for it. Those four are a nightmare for 75% of the teams. Quite important will be the results in the top games. If you can get points against the ones like Club, Standard, Beerschot, Gent & Anderlecht you'll be close I guess.

You don't have to fear Anderlecht by the way. We're 7 points behind and still playing like shit We can only be usefull to pick points of your rivals

PS: Wonder where you guys are going to build a statue for De Boeck

So what's the secret to their succes?
What a drag it is
The shape the team is in
Well they go out somewhere
Then come pointless home again

All these years
Watching Ajax Amsterdam
All these years
There's panic at Ajax Amsterdam
Oh Oh Oh, Oh
There's trouble at Ajax Amsterdam
Oh Oh Oh, Oh

The good atmosphere between the players I guess. Not to mention the quality players like Gombami, De Sutter and Iachtchouk provide.

And I can't forget to mention Glenn De Boeck off course. He keeps his and the players feet on the ground, practises again and again on their combination football, etc. His approach has surprised me in a positive sense.

The fact that they had no injury's, that they were able to keep their team together this summer and that they get an unbelievable amount of space from their opponents

A small report about Cercles game against RC Genk from Studio 1 on Monday. Seems De Boecks influence is indeed crucial

According to the papers Serkul asks 5 million for De Smet and De Sutter

So are they finally going to get started paying for their own stadium and get the hell out of ours?

Some Club fans are known to be a bit thick . They always scream out loud how they need to pay more rent for the stadium, yet they appear to forget that at their matches there are about 20 times more police forces present than at Cercle matches

Well, that's the result of actually having fans in your stadium

The accommodation is shit? And when we want to improve it, everything gets blocked by Serkul

Mutual stadion = 50% paid by each team. Or we pay everything and they get the hell out of our stadium
