----------------Alberman----------Kiyal-------------
-----Ben-Dayan--------------------------------------------Saban-
-----------------Ben-Haim----------Keinan----------------
-----------------------------Awat------------------------

I would have Sahar in instead of Golan but Sahar is rusty as hell, he hasnt played a game in ages. When he starts playing for whatever club, he will definitely be a shoo-in.

Rafaelov has been in outstanding form, hes been playing really well this season. Which is why have him in there. In the second half of the game against the Ivory Coast. Kashtan had a formation like the one below. I didnt think it was that effective though. We work better with a 4-2-2-2 because our backs arent that fast and we dont have any absolute burners besides Barda. Benayoun and Buzaglo arent that fast.

----------------Colautti-----------------
--Benayoun--------------------Buzaglo--
---------------Bruchyan-----------------
-----Alberman--------------Kiyal---------
-Meshumar------------------------Saban-
----------Keinan-------Strul-------------
---------------Strauber------------------

The lineups you guys mentioned are pretty much the ones we have at our best.
I have to say that IMO, the strikers that should start the game are the ones who are in better form and scoring goals. And currently the best duo i see is Barda and Golan. Both are playing as starters in Belgium, are making a good season. If we get the players by their top form, then maybe our striking force would be Ben Sahar and Collauti, but both aren´t playing and Barda and Golan could do the job upfront.

Benayoun always in the lineup even if he isn´t 100%, he is the great player of our NT, the soul, the brain, the captain, whatever you wish to call. Alberman has another spot guaranteed in midfield. Playing in a high level Bundesliga as a starter eventhough his team is in relegation zone.
The other two spots are being disputed by, Kiyal, Baruchyan, Buzaglo, Toama. Plus other players we have mentioned here such as Rafaelov, Tamir Cohen, Moshe Ohayon, Yaniv Katan. IMO, Baruchyan and Buzaglo should get the two spots, but they aren´t on their best moment and this could take them out the starting lineup.

In defense, guess the only doubt is who will be the partner of Ben Haim. Saban and Dedi Ben Dayan are secured as the sidebacks, while Ben Haim as the defensive leader. Strul and Keinan will make an intresting competition in which player should gain the spot. I particularly prefer Keinan, but the fact Strul is playing in Belgium against in theory more technical strikers could give him the edge.

Aouate, finally got him a team, or Sporting Gijon or Mallorca and this will give him the necessary match practice for the NT games.

hey so can you tell me about the current state of Israel ? I've read some Hungarian articles now that it may be dangerous for our players to go over to Israel and play.

The situation is a bit tense because of the Gaza operations and rocket missiles from Hamas being fired at southern Israel.

But the rest of the country is stable and not at risks. Tel Aviv, Jerusalem Haifa, the three big cities are out of this range, so there aren´t problems.

is it true even a a football pitch got hit by a rocket ? Do you think because of the circumstances the match will be moved to a neutral venue or even to Hungary ?

Yes this is true, but it was far south of where the match will be played. Hamas doesnt have rockets that reach that far. I dont think they will for a while...

Yea - i was gonna write about the problems in Gaza cause one time or another it will hurt us and in the end, we will be banned like always by UEFA/FIFA and forced to play in a neutral 'home' field like Cyprus or Italy.

In anycase, like everyone said - Ramat Gan seems to be safe.
I would be cautious if it was in Ashdod, Beer Sheva or Ashkelon, but the Gush Dan-Tel Aviv area is very safe.

Playing in Hungary is too cold...

Honestly, after the events in Turkey with Bnei HaSharon basketball team, where the players ran for their lives after the crowd invaded the court chanting "death for the jews", i believe Israel is safer than ever. In Israel never an opposing side would be aggresed like this.

But avoiding political debate, and focusing on the question here, Israel won´t move the game. The only way the game won´t take place is if Hungary decides not to come. A game in Budapest is also an option, but certainly the suggestion won´t come from the Israeli side.

Olympiacos is coming to play against Maccabi Tel Aviv this week in a Euroleague basketball game so this shows that this area is safe.

Over the past few weeks alot of incidents occured in Sports for Israelis.
Shaar Peer was subdued with anti-Israel chants in New Zealand.
Bnei Sharon with Turkey as Berko Stated..
Also a team from Greece refused to come play basketball in Israel, but i think it was Olympiakos ....Larissa or somthing?

and also there was support from Seville player Kanoute over a controversial undershirt he wore in honor of Palestinians...

We are not allowed to discuss this, I just regret and find it quite sour when politics and sports get mixed because we too often saw the desastrous consequences it has (Old Firm for example, completely polluted by politics) - players should keep out of this as they know how bad it can get when they allow politics into the game. Kanoute is entitled to his opinion I guess, but there are better places to vow that opinion than the stadium.

And I don't see Israel being banned from playing home games unless other countries get involved in the conflict. Now only the Gaza Strip and surrounding towns are at risk, so UEFA has no reason to move any games scheduled in Tel Aviv. I doubt Hungary can just cancel the game without further notice after first officially agreeing on scheduling this friendly?

If Hungary will come to Israel than it shows that the ban is useless and they will succeed.

What im more concerned about is Crazy-Greeks and their riots turned Palestine and I dont like jews sorta bigotry in the away game...
I am expecting Ireland away match x5000 in Athens

so it's final - we are going to Israel for the friendly on Feb. 11th

The squad against Israel:

A magyar válogatott bő kerete

Kapusok (goalies)

Babos Gábor (NEC Nijmegen)
Fülöp Márton (Sunderland AFC)
Köteles László (DVTK)

Védők (defenders)

Szélesi Zoltán (RC Strasbourg)
Bodnár László (Red Bull Salzburg)
Juhász Roland (RSC Anderlecht)
Vaskó Tamás (US Avellino)
Vanczák Vilmos (FC Sion)
Bodor Boldizsár (Roda JC Kerkrade)
Tímár Krisztián (Plymouth Argyle)
Horváth Gábor (FC Fehérvár)
Gyepes Gábor (Cardiff City)

Középpályások (midfielders)

Hajnal Tamás (Borussia Dortmund)
Gera Zoltán (Fulham FC)
Vadócz Krisztián (Osasuna)
Halmosi Péter (Hull City)
Tóth Balázs (Racing Genk)
Dzsudzsák Balázs (PSV Eindhoven)
Huszti Szabolcs (SV Hannover '96)

Csatárok (strikers)

Rudolf Gergely (DVSC-TEVA)
Torghelle Sándor (FC Augsburg)
Feczesin Róbert (Brescia)
Szalai Ádám (Real Madrid-Castilla)
Priskin Tamás (Watford FC)

cuts will be made within a week, and 18 players will travel to Israel.

so thats our team ! our midfield is pretty stacked and our goalies :P Babos voted best goalie in Holland, Fulop 3 consecutive shutouts in the EPL. The thing is our defense. Especially since our best defender wont be playing (Juhasz) because he is suspended for our next WCQ match, so our coach wants this match to test a replacement for him. Possibly some changes in strikers (Usually just Torghelle upfront by himself, sometimes Rudolf beside him), would really like to see Szalai debut in the NT, he is a very bright prospect. Also Priskin is back from injury now, and he scored 2 amazing goals on the weekend for Watford.

Yes, your squad seems to be very good and not by luck you guys have good chances in the qualifiers.
It should be a very intresting game and a good test for both teams.

Our squad was meant to be announced tommorow after the big match between Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Maccabi Haifa.

As soon as the squad is announce we post it here, but it shouldn´t be very different from the other callups, with special highlight for Liverpool´s Yossi Benayoun, Mallorca goalkeeper Dudu Aouate, defensive midfielder Gal Alberman from Monchengladbach and Elyaniv Barda from Genk.

IFA decided to be generous. Prices for the friendly match against Hungary wil be symbolic: 10 shekels. The intention is to pack up the stadium and give support for the players for the crucial clashes against Greece in March and April.

In another news, Istvan Pisont, who played many years in Israel and was adored by both Beitar and Hapoel fans, is meant to come with the U-21 team.
Welcome back Istvan

hmm, I don't know any Hungarian restaurants, I think they all closed ( and I doubt they would show the game... ugh I usually just watch the games online, no other source really. But hey, when we both qualify for the WC we can catch the final: Hungary vs Israel :P
