So Jorien is looking for another player to blame Bert for when he doesn't play?

What I know as that he plays on the right. Or at least that was the position he played when Belgium played against Oranje earlier this year. So a replacement for Lurling.

Anyway still no defender. He would have also been 10 years too young.

Er zijn verschillende geruchten ontstaan dat Feyenoord geïnteresseerd zou zijn in een jonge verdediger uit Estland. Volgens Postimees gaat het om Ragnar Klavan, een 18-jarig talent die zowel op het middenveld als de verdediging uit de voeten zou kunnen. Klavan is 185 cm groot en 77 kg zwaar. Op dit moment komt hij uit voor Fc Flora Tallinn. Ook is hij al 2x opgeroepen voor het nationaal elftal van Estland. Naast Feyenoord zouden ook Real Sociedad en Rosenborg interesse hebben in de jonge Est.

Klavan is geen onbekende voor Feyenoord. De Est was eerder op proef in Rotterdam en speelde zelfs mee met Jong Feyenoord. Arno Pijper, oud-jeugdcoach bij Feyenoord, is nu trainer van Estland en adviseert Feyenoord de verdediger vast te leggen.

If I was van den Herik I would not let Baan make this purchase. You still have many defenders in the reserves somewhere, which you hardly ever use. Or otherwise, get rid of a few missers like van den Berg first. And wouldn't you rather see Feyenoord finally getting a DUTCH talent to breakthrough, I mean, you have van Persie, but nobody else for the sake of the future of Holland's national team.

True, though I got doubts about Loovens and Olfers but they'll at least have more pace than what we have now. We have a talent in Breinberg in the youth and i hope Bert plays him. Will do no harm since Kees and vd Berg won't be here for long anyway (at least I hope so).

We'll need 2 new central defenders when the winter or in the summer transfer window open.

van der Berg is a disaster, but van Wonderen is a key player I think.
You mean Breinbrug of Volendam? I have to say that I don't rate him too high, just like I don't rate Kras of Ajax high, or Wilson of PSV. I think all 3 will never make their mark for the big teams where they are under contract with.

No, this is another Breinberg. It's in fact the younger brother of the Breinberg at Volendam

he's been rated pretty highly by Feyenoord fanzines, though you obviously have to take them with a pinch of salt at times but we really need to start breeding some youngsters!

After Kazuyuki Toda rejected ADO last week, the Hagenaren have switched their attention to Mr Feyenoord TV Ebi Smolarek! in all honesty even though Smolarek is a Feyenoord product, I don't think that he cuts the grade. I think that the highest level he'll reach is on a par with someone like Lurling.

......and Van Persie is apparantly being looked at by Arsenal (as if) by the Guardian along with 6 others I must say. The rumour machines will on overtime until he signs an extension to his current contract.

Smolarek is just a pretty boy, who likes the odd joint or two

but does have some technical skills.
he's been fit again since the start of this season, but hasn't made any impression yet. also, when lazovic is fit again, the smolarek will go down in the strikers order i think.
he'll be loaned out, and eventually sold, but i think he's too good for ado, but he could also be the van der gun of feyenoord. van der gun can't even impress at ado

vpersie is definitely on his way out of feyenoord. do you think after what has happend that those feelings didn't go deep? i'm sure, that deep down, he hasn't forgiven the fans for booing him during that contract extension conflict.
this might hurt you, but i can even see vpersie going to ajax, but ajax will probably never be brave enough to actually try and get vpersie.
i think he will go to spain, coz it's no challenge between pires and vpersie.

Pires isn't the youngest though. 31 I think so Wenger might look at him for the long run. He'll have to sign very soon or he would be sold as Baan said

I still expect him to sign a new contract though. He's got rid of that Spanish agent and if he has a Feyenoord heart, he'll stay at least for 2 years.

Rumour says Bergen are looking at getting Chris Gyan. I'll miss him

not the greatest of players but a player with a big heart a nice man. Plus the way he jumped for balls, trying to header them with his small size was pretty funny to watch.

Bergen hmmm if they do buy him, we'll in most likelihood get nothing for him since they aren't exactly a wealthy club

Just read it and it said that Acuña will not be going to Turkey on our winterbreak trip to there since his wife is expecting a child

he'll be heading back to Chile instead!

Not sure. I usually like players like him (hard working hackers).He looked good in his few games but since that his passing has gone downhill. Acuna has become a specialist in fouling and adds little in the creative department. Bosvelt still had a simple pass in him. Acuña doesn't

Dispensing him right now would mean another Rob Baan 2 million euro investment will go down the drain. We don't have a lot of central midfielders in form. Ono has yet to find his real standard and Schreuder is as slow as a tortoise

Pardo is a talent but hasn't been given a real chance yet. I'd keep Acuna for the time being since I'm not very convinced of the rest and with Acuna, you'll know that his hardwork will always be more effective than Schreuders nothing play.

One of your favourites Gyan has attracted interest from Belgian side Bergen. They already signed Wamberto and they look to strengthen their squad even more.

Maybe he needs a move at this stage in his career. He's now 24 or 25 and he never has really played in the Feyenoord first team regularly or for very long. It''s up to Chris. I obviously hope that he'll stay

BRabants Dagblad says that Gullit is interested in getting Zelijko Petrovic as his assistant. From what I've seen of him on TV, he seems like a pretty smart guy

And we're apparantly interested in Sturm Graz's young midfielder Jurgen Samuel along with a couple of English clubs. He's the biggest talent there and also the best player in their u21s.
