I apologise if this thread is a repeat, but I'm interested in finding out more about this group. They are notorious for skinheads among their ranks, what can you guys tell me about the "Mad Boys"? How does the average FCB supporter feel about them?

Initially, they were not skinheads. The Boixos Nois were a diverse group that started the fashion of the ultra movement in Spain with some similarities to the Italian ultras and the English hooligans.

Although they cooperated a lot of times, at the begining, these new groups were attacked several times by members of Boixos Nois.

Since the mid 90s, the Boixos Nois size of this group has decreased, but at the same time has been more and more radical. Everyone know that they've been protected by Nuñez and Gaspart for years. They used the Boixos to threat the people who "bothered": other socios, journalists,... they even used them to boycott the socios assambly sometimes.

Nowadays, it's a very small group, controlled by Boixos Nois Casuals Crew. As far as I know, a friend was threatened and insulted in the Camp Nou, not so long ago (this season), because he seemed a "red" and also because he had a "estelada" (the independentist catalan flag):


I received an email, not long ago, from someone of Barcelona that saw an internal paper of the Casual Crew that dominate the Boixos now. They say that "they're country is Spain, although they don't forget Catalunya". They say "Arriba España y Visca Cataluña Nacionalsocialista"... and similar nazi shit. They threat the reds and the independentists. The Casuals say that the "Boixos Nois are national-sociasists, fascists, anti-SHARPS (red skins) and anti-drugs".

In the past, some people liked them. Actually, they were the only part of the stadium that cheered the team constantly. Although the skinheads groups existed, the Boixos Nois had different people. At that time, some people defended them.

Now, they are a small group, very very small compared with the past. The fans dislike them, because many people have suffered their threats. Joan Laporta is finishing with them and he received death threats at his own house (he had to leave it, if I'm not wrong). They spend the 80% of the match insulting Laporta and they're booed by the rest of the fans many times. So they get zero support from the rest of the stadium. Their destiny is to disappear soon or later.

Personally, I don't know if they're inside neo-nazi movements as the Ultrassur (Real Madrid) or Brigadas Blanquiazules (Espanyol), which are inside Hammerskin, as the Lazio ultras, BTW; or as Frente Atlético, especially the group Bastión, who are part of Blood & Honour, another NS organization. I don't have any article that makes a direct relationship with any nazi party or organized movement, although they define themselves are neo-nazis (not in their web page though, for obvious reasons). Maybe they're just hooligans... who cares... they're shit.

You know.. I have a big BOIXOS NOIS flag on my room.. It looks really nice, it has a big buldog in the middle, I got it from my uncle & aunt several years ago, I didn't know they were that bad back then. They even were nice to me, when I posted a topic in English on their Spanish/Catalan forum!!!!

Yes, very interesting. You've answered my main question, which was their nationalistic views. I figured it would be contradictory politics to have far right or neo-nazi leanings & still be pro-Catalunyan, so it makes sense they are pro-Spanish. I've heard they are enemies with Real Ultrassur & Frente Atlético, but don't they share the same politics as those two groups? Not that it's unheard of, though in Italy most ultra groups loyalties are divided by political leanings, why for example Lazio Irriducibili are friends with Hellas Verona Brigate Gialloblù & Real Ultrassur.

At the begining, I've said that not all of them were nazis, at least, not some years ago. A guy that I know, who is 34 now, used to be in the Gol Nord with them (before they put the seats), and I can tell you that he's not a neo-nazi or similar, but he didn't like what was going on there. Some people got attracted by the atmosphere in that zone and it's nice to cheer your team with songs and chants, I wouldn't mind to join a group like this. But if you accept nazis, you're going to have problems. Moreoever, this is totally against what Barça is or should be.

IMO, the problem is that they accepted this neo-nazi and/or hooligan groups that use all kind of violence, not only against the rivals (which is disgusting in any case), but also against other Barça fans. IMO, this is totally unacceptable. I know that people of other young groups like "Sang Culé" have been insulted and threatened. This is not tolerable.

I'm in favour of young groups. I think that the Camp Nou needs a louder atmosphere, but you can be louder, but not violent. IMO, the Board should kick the BN out and support other young groups that exist in the Camp Nou.

These people is a problem for Barça. You can support your team without being an animal.

Are they banned from Nou Camp now? Cause i think the nord sector of Nou Camp (reservated for home organized supporters) was totally empty during the match against Valencia I've seen live last December.

Its nearly always empty now because Gaspart used to give a way tickets to them. Now that Laporta has stopped that, they have to pay and it's about 50 euros a match. So there are very few of them and they just spend their time insulting Laporta during the match. Besides, the tickets don't get sold because nobody wants to be near them. If course if it's a massive match they do get sold.
This is not the only privelige Laporta found when he arrived. There seemed to be about a thousand hangers-on in the bar area of the main stand just getting all the drinks they wanted free because they had some connection with the management. As you can imagine, all this added up to a fortune and had to be stopped. Funny coincidence that at my other team (Leeds), a similar thing was found with Peter Ridsdale once he'd gone and I imagine it's going on elsewhere.

Not only this. Also the boss of the security guards was involved with the Boixos in the death threats to Laporta. Everything that surrounds the Boixos Nois smell like shit.

The friend that brought the "estelada" to the Camp Nou sent me an e-mail and he was really sad with this issue with the Casuals. Imagine it, how can you have any problem in the Camp Nou just for waving a "senyera"? It's depressing.

Very reasonable manager, your Laporta and a man who stands for the right things in sport.
Thing is, those supporters are often violent towards their own supporters as well. Normally people go to matches to enjoy the event and not to be disturbed by loud drunk folks.

Great post, K4 ... thanks for the info. That's what my picture in mind of them was.

Boixos Nois, Frente Atleti, Ultra Sur, No Name Boys, Superdragoes, Leo Juve or how every they are called ... most of the bastards destroy the family-sport football has been ages ago.
Laporta is doing good for Barça and the whole sport in that case!
