Summer Signing: Ze Roberto
It's even on the official site: http://www.fenerbahce.org/fb2008/det...ontentID=19890
Just kidding, wanted to spark a bit of activity and see how many people we could pull into the forum.
In all seriousness, with all the discussions about how well run the other branches are compared to football, it's interesting that the Volleyball branch can sort out it's manager so quickly and effectively, when we don't even know if Daum will stay or go...
(I'll move this to the "Other branches" thread shortly, after a bit of fun)

This reminds me of the time we signed "Crespo" and "Nuri Sahin"

Fenerbahce signed Ivan Miljkovic for the men's volleyball team. I guess he's a pretty famous Serbian player, and is considered one of the best players in the world.
I don't know much about him, but I guess he's a pretty important signing for Aziz Yildrim to attend his press conference.
...the dude is jacked!

Tebrikler...winning a world championship is a great acheivement. They really invested wisely and got a big return on that investment in only 2-3 years...hmm, I could think of another branch that should consider that simple philosophy

Well Turkish Sport is realy with big money nowadays,a bit like russia did 4 or 5 years ago and greece earlier.
Not only football by any means.
Regarding women sector you have very good basket and volley team's but there is Dynamo Moscow and Ummc ekaterinburg and Spartak Moscow to beat. ...but the brazilian nt coach there?big sign.
You steal Taurasi from Spartak, that was huge.....om other hand Gamova return to russia for Kazan.
There is a big difference though between Turkey and Russia regarding domestic players in volley and basket in quality.
Yiu have a vcery good volley player but she is in other turkish club.
I fancy Dynamo moscow to win the european volley title, five world champions from rus nt,two starters from italian nt......Kazan have four.
You have to bring the Brazilian National team to Turkey!
As for Basket Taurasi is a one women show but Ummc more all around team.
Overall Turkey and Russia will dominate women basket and volley clubs competition in next years.
Russian women
World volley champio
Vice olympic volley champion
World handball champion
European basket champion
Vice world basket champion

It's too bad Taurasi is suspended until further notice.

Wow this is a big scandal.
Of course women sport doesn't get the visibility of men sport and i guess
only if it was a tennis player this will be well spread.
But still best women basket player in the world caught on doping and she might miss 2012 olympics.

i seriously doubt the effects of an anti-narcolepsy pill can just make her some kind of superstar. She's obviously talented, sometimes these anti-doping things are just excessive.

I can probably say its a banned amphetamine derivative of some sort. Those things, like Adderall, can be used to treat narcolepsy.
But Cenk is right, sometimes these drug tests can get excessive.
EDIT: I found out what the drug is, it's modafinil. That's is prescribed for narcolepsy, sleepiness due to sleep apnea, shift work sleep disorder, basically is you feel sleepy during the daytime.
