Idk man... the Wolfsburg, Leverkusen, Bremen, etc. today were pretty full-strength when you look at the starting lineup players.
Not for some of the games in England. I know Torres and Gerrard and quiet a few others didn't play for Liverpool. But usually these teams depth is quiet good. But if they took it really serious, of course they would play. But its almost common knowledge that the depth guys get their chance in the cup ties.

Emir Spahic did not take part in the pitiful loss of Montpellier. This means I won't trash Spahic on how horrible he is conceding 4 goals to a club like Lens.

That is the best news of all. It is wonderful to see that he is breaking into the first team at Mechelen and beginning to score goals

Yes he did, he went one on one with the goalie, easely passed him and scored.

I was very happy Mravac scored because earlier in the game the ref whistled a penalty because he thought Mravac made a fault (which was a ridicilous call).

Ibricic scored off a corner... 2:51:

LMFAO Goal of his career

The other 3 goals were stupid. One was a rebound from literally 0 meters. All he did was put the ball in the net after it hit the post and hit the line of the goal from someone else's shot. Then there was an easy penalty and an easy tap-in from one meter out.

Amazing jerseys. Best ones in the Balkans.

The goals were bad ones to concede, but there's no denying that SI was in the right place at the right time. If he carries on this form, I doubt that he will still be at Hajduk this time next year.

But as for the jerseys...I sort of agree with your point. They really are rather fetching. Shades of Barcelona but with a pastel red, they belong on the catwalk rather than the football pitch

ah geez.. I just saw the worst miss in football history by Dzeko

Go to Part 7 of the link above at 14:33. No one is around him and the ball landed right at his foot from a meter out. He completely misses it... it's unbelievable..I can't believe he didn't atleast touch the ball. I think any footballer in the world would've scored that. My 8 year old cousin would've scored that.

Man I can't believe Dzeko didn't score that one. It's totally off the bounds of reason. I think that has got to be the most embarrassing moment of his career unfortunately.. and it was in the last couple of minutes.. could've sealed a draw and went to extratime and beat Koln.

I hate to say it, but it seems like an ongoing trend that Dzeko has trouble scoring in tight situations.

I also thought that watching him play. It seems like he doesn't like taking risks in fear of messing up. I think he has the capability, but often backs down.

But yesterday's performance was very good by Dzeko. Sure he missed that sitter, but other than that, I thought he was really good. He moved back quite and bit and pressured the defense to pass quite a few times. His dribbling was good and nut-megged two players.. and got around other players at times.

Btw... look at the full highlights of the Wolfsburg 5-1 Bayern game from last season.. look at the way Dzeko got through players... like look at 1:06 when he gets by those players.. but then when that guy passed it back to him..he didn't blast it in.. he thought too much, he needs to rely on his instincts more:

He did the same kind of stuff v. Bayern as well but they lost 3-0. He was simply unlucky there. He hits the post waaaaay too many times. He could've scored some beauties and have those be the main highlights of the 09/10 youtube compilation videos.

lol I really don't mean to get political, and if you actually have a dick, you wouldn't take it too seriously

But you know Dragan Mihajlovic.. 18 year old at Parma? He looks sorta like Drazan Mihajlovic.

^ they currently lie in 2nd place but have 1 game more than every other team other than dinamo zagreb.

That's 4 goals in last 2 games for Zec and 5 in total. Here's his statistics:

6 games, 5 goals, 2 assists

He plays in a much suckier club where he doesn't get alot of chances to score, yet is just one goal behind mandzukic who played 8 games and his team scoring 5+ goals a game. Zec doesn't turn 22 till June 6. I've seen him play btw recently, and IMO, he's more flexible and faster than players like Mandzukic who is his arch-rival in the Croatian HNL.

I've also seen Dinamo lately and Mandzukic has trouble scoring. He only scored 6 goals of the total 34 goals Dinamo scored in 8 games. He messes up too many times and relies on his teammates alot. I'm sure if Zec, a player 2 years younger, played in Dinamo, he would have 10+ goals by now. Too bad he's neglected by the big clubs because he plays in Sibenik..and clubs like Blackburn prefer players from Dinamo/Hajduk.

^ I can't believe that Blackburn signed Kalinic

I've seen the guy play and he is awful in the EPL, he get's bullied all over the park and can never recieve passes properly. The guy has not made a good impression so far.

Anyway, good stuff from Zec. Hopefully he will score/assist alot this season and eventually move to a bigger league.
