Let's analyse whether the roster of the season which is going to start is better than the roster of the last season.

GOALIES

The n.1 is Antonioli and the reserve is Turci. In my opinion a very good pair of goalies, but unfortunately they are both over 34. Situation unchanged.

CENTER BACKS

Falcone has been confirmed and his new companion in the middle will be Marcello Castellini. No doubts about the fact that Castellini is much better than Mirko Conte. The alternatives are Carrozzieri and Pavan (new and crap, but probably not worse than Sakic), while Artipoli is an unknown factor. Anyway, the situation has improved for sure.

SIDE BACKS

Zenoni and Sacchetti have been confirmed on the right flank, while on the left flank Bettarini, who had no reserve since Domizzi left for Modena in January, has been replaced by the duo Tonetto/Pisano. The situation should be at least unchanged, but Bettarini as a defender was not exactly free from faults, so I dare to say that the situation has slightly improved.

MIDFIELDERS

The midfield of the starting lineup has been confirmed so: Diana-Volpi-Palombo-Doni. Donadel replaced Donati, who has been a bit disappointing. The hope is that Donadel will give something more to Samp. Edusei is another unknown factor. Pagano confirmed as alternative of Doni, where Tonetto could also be an alternative. Players who were released like Zivkovic, Valtolina were hardly important. Pedone, now in the training staff, was precious.The situation is more or less the same...

FORWARDS

The starting lineup duo Flachi-Bazzani has been confirmed, but we lost a precious player like Cipriani. Will Kutuzov replace him in the better way?
Yanagisawa left but he was hardly consistant, while Job will be loaned out.
Waiting for the 4th forward the situation is unsettled.
