RBC Roosendaal - Feyenoord

Sunday 14:30

Nothing to play for anymore really but surely after the 2 pretty poor games, the boys will be motivated to end the season with 2 wins and with good football and effort.

RBC can be tough since they are well organized. Robert Molenaar is a decent marker for them but his weakness is his lack of pace so hopefully we'll expose that.

On our front, injurywise its pretty much the same. Van Wonderen probably won't make the game but should hopefully place the last one against Zwolle.

My line - up:

---------Zoetebier--------

Song-Vd Berg-Paauwe-Mtiliga

Smolarek-Ghali-Ono-Van Persie

-----Kuijt----Buffel-------

Lurling was really dreadful against Groningen and rightfully subbed quickly so I tihnk Van Persie, despite him not being brilliant last week either, should be given a chance and against an orgnaized team like RBC, his flair will break the game open, not a workman like Lurling.

I can't see either Buffel or Kuijt getting dropped by Bert so I won't alter it and with Kuijt scoring last week, he won't be dropped for sure.

Prediction: hopedully a 2-1 win to us

A seemingly easy 1-4 win for us against surprise package RBC. Lazovic finally a starter but he didn't manage to do much damage. It could be because he didn't play anywhere near the main striker. He's no winger Bert. He replaced Smolarek who later came on and immediately scored.
Buffel with a great solo ending up in the net. Overall a very decent Feyenoord.

Good thing I taped both hours of Studio Sport or I'd have missed the highlights completely. We seem to win a lot easier away from home. Dunno why, we aren't exactly a counter attacking team but I guess sides tend to close us down more at de Kuip and play with 10 men behind the ball. Anyways another goal for Kuijt and he's now on 18 or round about that! pretty decent total so dare I say, maybe we're underrating him a bit but that saying the defending in the heart of RBCs defence was shocking to say the least. We weren't much better though with Van der Berg and Paauwe having their lapses of concentration though Patrick did make it up with a goal later.

Lazovic on the right was strange. Apparantly he had told Bert, he played there a few times for Partizan but he didn't really look suited there. Despite Lazo doing well up front for the reserves, Kuijt is undroppable up front now I guess with him scoring. The only player I'd say is ripe to be dropped on current form probably is Lurling so I'd put Smolarek on the left with Lazo on the right but then again that isn't his natural position
