Qualification: VIF - Sandefjord
After 0-0 in the first match, tensions are high in front of the second match, that just started. The match is played in Vallhall in Oslo, and any draw will mean that Vålerenga would get relegated to the first division. With their abysmal economy, that could mean that the biggest Oslo club, could lose several of their best players until next season.
In this qualification, it's the 12th from the top league (VIF or their full name Vålerenga) vs the 3rd placed team from the first division (Sandefjord).
So far, after 9 minutes of the match, Sandefjord has actually been the best team. But none of the teams have been close to scoring yet.

Sandefjord just scored, and now VIF is really in trouble. After a freekick from 20 meters, Trym Bergman of Sandefjord jumped up, and headed in the 1-0 goal.

1-1, what a match! Kjetil Rekdal on a free kick from 20 meters. Fantastic goal.

It's been a lot of fun so far, attack after attack. VIF seems to be getting a bit more of the possession though, but the match is definetly still open.

2-1 to Vålerenga. Another freekick from Rekdal, but this time to Estonian player Piiroja, who headed the ball into the goal.
VIF seems like the better team now, but it's still quite tight, with a lot of the play on the midfield.

Fantastic shot by Sandefjord and Fredrik Thorsen, and out of nowhere they are leading 3-2. Now VIF has to score twice without Sandefjord scoring for VIF to stay in the top league,
Fantastic first half.

3-3 on the last chance of the first half. David Hanssen of VIF, from 16 meters, surrounded by Sandefjord defenders. Very strong effort.

Trym Bergman scored a goal, which could have been his 3rd of the day, but then the referee blew off for an attack on the keepey by another player. Bad luck for Sandefjord. Still 3-3.

After a ton of VIF chances, they finally scored after 84 minutes. It was David Hanssen again, after several people had touched the ball, after a Rekdal freekick that hit the bar.
Right now, VIF stays in the top league.

Very controversial decision, as a Sandefjord goal was blown off by the referee again. I don't know all the rules, but to me it looked like a fair goal. The Sandefjord striker jumped in front of the keeper as he shot the ball out, took the ball, and scored. I thought that was allowed.

It finished 5-3, with a red card to Fredrik Thorsen of Sandefjord. VIF stays up, in a wonderful but also very controversial match.

What a helluva match!?
Great fun, very intense... Sandefjord could easily have gotten the two goals the ref disallowed, I wonder what will happen there.
I rooted for VIF to go down, but I probably would have missed them later, Lyn needs someone to beat ( ) and I like Rekdal.
