Intertoto this month - Who are comming to Finland

Can someone please make some kind of review of team FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt, becouse we are gonna play them in INTER-TOTO Cup in couple of weeks time so i wanna know something about them.

Are here any Piatra Neamt fans and are you comming to Finland? If you are we could play some match like fans of Tampere United vs. Piatra Neamt fans... don`t know just a wild idea

Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt is a Moldavian team. Unlike most Romanian teams, it isn't as technical but it's very solid, compact and quite tough. They're especially good with dead-ball situations (free-kicks, corners, etc.)

I don't think there are any Ceahlaul fans here, but I think that there will be some Moldavian supporters going to Finland.

By the way, are you Finnish or Russian?

well i`m russian, but i`m living in finland..

I went to speak to clubs representive and they said that first we were to play FC Gloria Bistrita, but now UEFA changed the opponent to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt from ROMANIA!

and now i checked fro UEFA.com and it goes like this:

First leg: 21/22 June
Tampere United (FIN) v FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt (ROM)

and isn`t ROM=Romania?

the club is supposed to be placed 5th in this years Romanian League, or maybe you use other name for this team?

this FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt suppoded to be played 3 times in INTER-toto, they played Juventus in 99 and they drew both matches and lost on away goals, in 2000 they beat Mallorca on aggrigate 4-3, does it ring a bell?

I can`t make it to the away match but gonna be singing my heart out in our home game.

and here you can find our Tampere United "ultras" site:
Sinikaarti.tk , it is in finnish so you won`t understand much...

We know who Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt is.
All I said is that there are no fans of this team here (in this forum). They are from norhtern Romania (Moldova Region).
Of course we want them to do well, but we are not really interested in this game since our National Team has very important upcoming games against Bosnia (tomorrow) and Norway on Wednesday.

Yes they did finnish 5th this year - see below, but not many people like them...

1 Rapid 63 p
2 Steaua 56 p
3 Gloria 45 p
4 Brasov 45 p
5 Ceahlaul 44 p
6 Dinamo 44 p
7 Craiova 44 p
8 National 43 p
9 Astra 42 p
10 Farul 40 p
11 Bacau 38 p
12 Arges 38 p
13 Otelul 36 p
14 Poli AEK 35 p
15 Sportul 31 p
16 UTA 30 p

I left Romania when I was a child so I don't know much about the so-called "Ultra -culture" - i assume you are reffering to Steaua fans?

Lupetto do you have some info on this???

When Romanian club teams are playing abroad, Romanian fans are very far and few - for economical reasons . The embassy staff and maybe the ones living/working in that country and neighbour ones, if any. They are rather meek, not at all aggressive, even when supporting the 'big' teams: Steaua, Dinamo, Rapid - chanting and waving flags and so on. The 'ultras' behave as such only during the internal championship matches .

Our main stricker is gonna be away from first match becouse he is at Confideration Cup with New-Zealand.
Noah Hickey is our best stricker this season with 5 goals and he only played 3 games, but 3 of them he scored against 3. division side

Well, i`m waiting for the match - counting days!

The team is very tecnical and likes to conrol the game. Our play maker Jari Niemi has amaizing vision and great last pass. solid difence and league`s best goalkeeper - he was called as 3. keeper to the national team against Italy, didn`t play, but he is the only one who plays in national championship(others - Niemi, Enkelman and Jääskeläinen play in English premier league). Our league started in mid-May, and there has been played 6 matches + 5 rounds of National Cup - League clubs have played only 3 games in Cup. Last match(yesterday 12.06) we played against division 2 side(Cup) and won only on the last minute of extratime.

In League we started by defeat in derby match(at home) 0-2, thought we controlled the game and consided the only attackes that opponent had, and streght after that we lost 1-3 away to corrent League leader. after that we have had 4 wins in a row in league 1-0,2-0,4-1,1-0. the goal diference is 9 - 6 after 6 games.

Jari Niemi and Tero Koskela are motors of the midfield...

and the championship finishes sometimes in October...

The game is gonna be at stadium of Ratina - just reconstructed for the U17 World Championship, I visited it last time 2 days ago and the works on the stadium where almost done - so the game is gonna be played on brand new pitch becouse no one have played on the pitch from last year...

Can`t think of anything more to tell...

check Romfotbal (www.romfotbal.com , then click on "Dauly News" and then "European Cups" ) for more information. I believe Ceahlaul can manage to degeat Tampere and qualify further.

The first goal of Brescia was _not_ scored by Baggio. He didn't play at all! Cortellini scored in 4'. They say Brescia is going to take the away match more seriously now .

Funny:
Negrean (Romanian) - Del Nero (Italian) have basically the same meaning.
