I always love to watch Europa League final if convenient but it always reduce interest when the same nation meet together in the final, like Madrid VS Valencia in champion league is totally my unfavorite. Anyway, Bilbao should win it.

Do you remember when the UEFA Cup final was one of the most exciting games of the season?

Alaves - Liverpool and BVB - Feyenoord were amazing.

Both teams best players are in the attack, so a good spectacle is guaranteed. I bet for Athletic () as I think we have similar level in attack but better in defence. Just my opinion obviously.

The other detail that should decide is hunger. In this respect I think Athletic also wins as most of its players (if not all) are basque and Athletic supporters since kids. This is the dream of their lives.

Probable Lineups:

Club Atlético de Madrid (Diego Simeone)

Courtois

Juanfran - Godín - Miranda - Filipe Luis

Suárez - Gabi

Arda Turán - Diego - Adrián

Falcao

Athletic Club (Marcelo Bielsa)

Iraizoz

Iraola - Javi Martínez - Amorebieta - Aurtenetxe

Iturraspe

Susaeta - De Marcos - Herrera - Muniain

Llorente

I swapped my late work shift for an early one to be back home in time for this. Hopefully Bilbao win, it would mean more for them seeing as Atletico have won this recently.

Think Atletico will win it for the second time in three years. Bilbao will collapse mentally.

Can any of you useless halfmen change the thread title. "Madrid" is the shortened name for Real Madrid Club de Futbol.

I'm afraid some halfman will correct the thread title and overcorrect Athletic Bilbao into Atletico de Bilbao. OK, halfmen, don't change anything, you'll do probably even more harm.

Or take Los Che's avatar, that should be even bigger punishment. I wonder what Los Che did wrong in Valencia's forum to use that disgusting picture, he probably molested some underage users.

Nerd fact:

Atletico Madrid was founded by Basque students living in Madrid as a youth team of Athletic Bilbao in 1903 (more or less identical shirt colours, badges, name /originally Athletic Club Madrid/). At the beginnings they were actually Bilbao's B team, as they couldn't enter the competitions Athletic Bilbao played in (namely Spanish cup as the only national (non-regional) competition), and Athletic Bilbao could use their players (in Spanish cup). Some ten years later though they opted to change this and became independent from their mothership.
