Honestly, gloating aside, best player by a huuuuuuuge margin Cant say I seen a player be at a club for less then a year as he has been and undoubtly be part of our history forever as he will be, forever connected to this beyond special scudetto.

A very similar trade/give away happened here in the US but, in the NHL.
Good for Pirlo.

He is the beating heart of this side, unquestionably. Everything goes through him.
Usually i'm not for building teams around one player, but Pirlo is so good that it makes perfect sense to do it.
It's funny how things happen, Pirlo was cast aside at Milan and was looking for redemption, just as we were looking for the same after the past 2 dreadful seasons. Don't you love happy endings? lol.
What a privilege to see him don our colours.

Corini played 'til quite an advanced age. I wonder if Pirlo will have similar longevity. Given his role and the strengths required I don't see why not...

It's funny how the one old player they chose not to renew would end up being so valuable elsewhere.
Shrug.
Allegri had more use for Gattuso.

Hahahaha
Yeah, the one player past 30 they didn't want to give more than a one year contract to just happens to be Pirlo, lolz. Great reasoning on their part.
I think he can absolutely play on into his later years, his style is low intensity, he's playing in a midfield where Vidal and Marchisio do the running and covering (even though Pirlo is no slouch himself defensively), and he knows how to conserve energy. He's definitely capable of it.

No slouch? Lol never seen him work this hard before, but neither have I seen Vucinic work this hard either, Conte effect is ridicolous hehe.

Allegri prefer to put pure DM in the center of midfield under 4-3-1-2 system and i agree with that, unless he decide to play with 4-3-3 system (or some kind of system that need a defensive playmaker in the center of midfield), and then to let him go was a big mistake, we won our last Scudetto "without" him.
Welcome to CL next season, if you stay with 3-5-2 system, and then your wing backs will work much harder since there are no good wingers in serie A btw congrats for the scudetto

Believe me, most of us are well-aware of the system/tactical reasons that Pirlo was released. Contract length as well.
It's still funny though; the strengthening of a traditional rival and what not.
You should understand that, I think. Mocking Inter for how long over the same player?
Allegri?

Dont know what Milan fans are on about here, i remember you playing with the likes of Cafu and Serginho as fullbacks (well besides Maldini) and those two, while great players, werent exactly defensive prodigies. And you were successful in europe.
If anything, more and more teams rely on their fullbacks rather than wingers (lets ignore the Messis and Ronaldos for a second) if you look around in CL the last couple of years, with successful seasons: Maicon, Alves, Cole and there are more.
And dont forget, we play with 3 cd-s, so if we continue this system, our fullbacks can continue attacking as the 3rd central defender adds support at the back.

Not to take anything away from our champions, but I believe we might have not won the Scudetto without Andrea. That's how crucial he was. The sort of crucial that will make the manager change his preferred formation just to accomodate him in that regista role, something that Allegri was adamant not to do and paid the price heavily for that error. His beautiful assists and 3 goals and overall dictation of play was breath-taking.
Indeed, Grazie Milan!
“When I hear someone criticise my players, who work themselves to the bone, then I get furious. If you have to criticise, then pick on me and leave my lads alone, as they are like blood brothers for me." - Antonio Conte

after so many years sharing the same stadium its understandable that stupidity will be shared among them. Two craptastic teams, whichever of them more disgusting

He will fade away like he always does probably come next September. You better find back up or you will be screwed.

what do you base your prediction with regard to September on? Of course he will fade away. Exact date is to be determined. He seems also motivated to do well in CL.
