While the narrative for the failed league challenge will be the controversial home loss to Porto; but as noted on OptaJoao on Twitter: "Benfica have won just one of their last six on the road in the league, their worst run since October 2008. Quieted"
Aimar's red card played a role in that, but what happened on the whole? Why did this team just stop scoring goals away from the Luz?
How much blame does JJ get?

I'd like to talk about what we can improve on instead of what went bad, we need a good left back and a back up for Maxi on the right. How much to blame JJ? He's the head coach and has to take some blame, Emerson hurt us a lot, it's not his fault but Jesus' fault for putting him in there.
I think Jorge Jesus has to be questioned. Some of his substitutions during the season were real head-scratchers. Leaving Capdevila off the Champions League list was another blunder, though it didn't seem to hurt us that much. I've often wondered why Nolito was not played more often, giving his propensity for scoring. Aimar's injury and suspension hurt as well. There's nothing you can do about that.
when you lose the league the way Benfica lost the league, you dont ask questions like: "what went wrong?" You simply fire the coach immediately and give him a very hot slap.

They won their group, but that was in spite of the home match vs. Basel and Luis Martins' emergency start.
To be frank, I'm pretty 50/50 right now on JJ. I don't advocate just change of changes sake, and I don't know if the club does a year end review, but he his out of left field decisions haven't worked well.

Let JJ do another year, if he wins then he can get another 2 year deal, if not then his contract is done anyway.
no point of switching to just switch but get us a good LB

i agree
when you have a 8pts lead like we had , you cant fall appart the way we did...
mishandled the pressure?
mishandled the motivation levels?
mishandled the physical condition of the players?
champions fight until the end, dont give up half way when things get tough
time to make some decisions , need to start preparing the following season and imo its time to say goodbye to jesus
with dignity, of course, he deserves that much
