A very pale display by Sporting tonight but in fact it was enough to beat a team that seems really going down the drain under Pedro Emanuel's lead. On the other hand Sá Pinto makes 10 wins out of 10 matches in Alvalade, absolutely impressive.
Tonight we seemed more tired psychologically than physically but we clearly did not show the same grit and motivation of the last few weeks. Still we were better than Académica and deserved the win. We are now only 3 points behind Braga and if we manage to keep at least that difference after the next round we will host Braga and will need to do better than the 2-1 with which they beat us in the away game in the first half of the season.
Diego Capel was probably our best player tonight.
