Important game.
Atlético haven't won an away game since January 30 in Pamplona. The team has got three consecutive losses away from home. That record has to be broken because otherwise we'll struggle to even reach the Europa League-spots. Rayo will be without our loaned out trio; Joel, Pulido and Diego Costa can't play because of their contracts. Meanwhile, they'll also be without Javi Fuego who's been a vital part of their midfield this season as well as Labaka who got injured against Valencia. Sandoval have decided to start Raúl Bravo in central defence ahead of Diamanka who's not cut it on this level since getting promoted from Rayo B. Cobeño will replace Joel and Raúl Tamudo gets a starting spot in Diego Costa's absence. Trashorras will take Javi Fuego's spot in the centre of midfield which means they haven't got a proper replacement for the player in terms of profile.
Diego Simeone will also make changes after the derby game at Vicente Calderón.
