Splitter was retarded last year, but this year looks like he's improved more. Duncan has lost weight and he's been working on improving his endurance. Danny Green and Kawi Leonard bring them fresh legs.
I really can't wait. Great sign.

Don't forget Stephen Jackson coming in for Richard Jefferson, who never really panned out in SA. Nice to see the Spurs going for another push while Duncan is still around. This team can do some damage, they have the experience and coaching, and now with some younger players (Leonard, Green, etc.) I think they could be a sleeper in the West.

Yeah with Jackson and now Diaw, Spurs are a much dangerous side than last season.
Along with Lakers and OKC, they seem the favorites to clinch the west.

Yeah definitely agree about Steph. As soon as he landed in Texas, he started clicking. The Western Conference looks mouth watering. I hope the East can start catching up.

Steve Nash seems like he's ready to join the Heat. I wouldn't be surprised given the East is a MUCH MUCH MUCH more easier conference than the West in terms of opponents to face so that's one incentive. Another is the constant LeBron wanting him there along with better treatment than a place like Lakers, where he's had a history of rivalry and tensions with Kobe, and on top of that knowing Nash very well, he despises ball hogs. LeBron isn't a ballhog. Unfortunately, Kobe is. You can get him a psychiatrist, but it still won't change his mentality.
Nash, Wade, and James, would be deadly considering the # of assists. If James continues to average around 8, Wade with 6, and Nash with about 12, that's just remarkable.

Let's not forget about Bosh down low. They would have a Fantastic Four thing going on. Nash laying in Miami would seriously increase their (already high) chances of winning the championship this year. LeBron badly needs a ring and does Nash (maybe even Bosh to an extent ; of course he wants one, though). They would be an even more netertaining team as well.

I haven't been impressed with Bosh. But they're stuck with him. What can you do? Though as long as Chicago has Boozer (more like loser), then they probably won't have to worry too much since Bosh owned him as bad as it was. But Steve Nash will probably give Bosh some guidelines and make him more productive.
But even crazier. Miami has a 1st round draft pick. They need to use it on a center that has some potential for rebounding/defending. Fab Melo MIGHT* be a good choice. There could be some other good ones as well. They have to make sure whomever they draft is physically healthy. None of this Greg Oden nonsense. They be smart enough to know whose strong and healthy and also make sure the guy doesn't turn out to be a bust. Preferably someone who can run the floor very well since you don't want to limit yourself to half court offense as well.

Well, Bosh did perform well in last year's NBA Finals when LeBron was frightened ff the stage.
And maybe the Heat could trade that first-rounder for a solid veteran center, instead of risking it on a rookie?

There is one player I would sign for the heat, that would make the heat go 78 - 4 record ..
they would blow every oponent one by one..
That player would be kevin garnett.

They need a point guard, not Garnett.

I'd say what they needed the most, in terms of a guy they could actually get and not another superstar, is Kenneth Faried.
If they would draft him, they would be really, really scary... right now - and moreso down the line.

Boris Diaw had 9 assists today and 4 offensive rebounds. Pattie Mills had 20 points and 8/11 from shooting. Popovich really knows what he wants out of a player. Stephen Jackson has also been superb after leaving Milwaukee. I easily see a Spurs-Thunder Western Conference Finals match-up.

The offers are sure to be even more plentiful this summer. Sources close to the situation said Indiana, Phoenix, Portland and Dallas are among the teams with interest in Gordon. SI.com
Eric Gordon in New Orleans that is.
His option is to sign 5.3 million with the Hornets, but we'll see what happens when he enters the summer market.

Hmmm, I think Dallas has enough space to go after Gordon along with Deron Williams.
But that would not be wise, they should go for a center (if that is available on the market), rather than strengthen 1-2 positions (J. Terry will be off I guess)

I definitely agree.
Your 2 guards might not be at the top of their level or at the top of the NBA anymore, but for smaller contracts, they are still able to produce at a satisfactory level. So no need to pour the pockets just to upgrade that 2 spot.
A point guard and center are way more important.

Same here, no way I can imagine. He is such a cool dude on and off the court.
But Jet will have to decide to re-sign with significant less money or join any other contender (I believe he will opt for the second option)!
