there is an unofficial planned protest outside the ground(has gained quite a considerable number and getting bigger) and lots of talk of boycotting. Not sure how much the latter will be done though. Protests didn`t seem too effective last time around and ideally boycotting the matches would be the most effective....when you have 43k of people who have paid for season tickets it`s difficult to say how many would give that up after paying their hard earned money.

3 of the 4 who are delighted must be Pardew, Llambass and Ashley. Niall Quinn is the other.

Well he got a off to a great start today....can`t say whether it`s down to him or or perhaps the events of the past week that made the atmosphere white hot and gee the players to perform great. Or the usual typical first game effect of a new coach coming in.
I do feel a bit sorry for him though...it`s not his fault about what has happened and getting the brunt of things. Still not at all convinced he is the man for the job but anger should not be directed at him, just the fat fk upstairs.

8 year contract for Alan Pardew
so if it goes wrong...how much is he on a year?
For sure hasn't done badly though. Not a lot of football in the team but they get their results like shown against Everton. No real possession but 2 goals and a draw.

If anyone in the football world deserves an eight year contract, it's Alan Pardew. This guy changed the focus of the team when absolutely no one had any faith in him, even after he won games.

They should be giving this contract to there chief scout. Pardew is a decent manager but I feel really arrogant.

Mike Ashley was doing so well of late, then he hands out what are essentially jobs for life and the team goes to shit.
Quelle surprise.
"They picked on the wrong man - and the wrong country. It was like pouring petrol onto a fire as far as I was concerned.
There's an old saying that the dog that barks loudest never bites. They did a lot of barking but we bit them pretty hard. Uruguay's attitude just showed how scared they were of us - it was their last resort."

no,it`s been reported in local Newcastle papers and more recently nationwide papers that he has a clause in his contract entitling him to only a 1 year pay off if he gets sacked.
I don`t think he`s on particularly high wages in comparison to other premier league managers at least either.

A good motivator but not sure if his tactics are the same standard
The result against Villa soothed tension and with Moussa Sissoko, Yoan Gouffran, Mathieu Debuchy and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa involved, restored a sense of possibility.
“It was the words and pictures the manager used in the hotel before the match that really motivated us,” Cissé said. “He played a video of the last time Newcastle were relegated, of that terrible day at Villa. The only thing he said afterwards was, ‘That isn’t going to happen this time. It starts now. We have to fight.’ He told our signings, ‘The moment you pull on that shirt you’re no longer a new player, you’re a Newcastle player, so you give 100 per cent, like the rest.’ He was brilliant.

in relation to the calibre of our players, we are a bunch of under achieving headless chickens. Pardews tactics are that of a person with dementia. Im sure he gets his instructions/tactics from a lucky bag at times....
Frustrated to say the least.
