We have just had ncode image resizer installed. It's a feature that automatically reduces the size of big and huge images posted on the forum. Members can click on the image if they wish to view the original size of the image.

Cool feature! That's a definite improvement, as posting excessively-wide pictures will no longer stretch the page like a squirrel swallowing an elephant.

I already spoke about this to VS and I was told that nothing can be done about loading times when images are hotlinked. I specifically asked for this image resizer for the reasons Grinch mentioned.

It may not be ideal, but IMO that page looks a lot better with the image resizer than without it.

The only alternative I can think of is completely turning off image code. Then having attachments with thumbnails.
