this is a logo of a kazakhstanian (let me write that again...kazakhstanian) football team called FC Vostok Ust-Kamenogorsk. Now correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it resemble something; something you may have seen before?????????
.....ah, thats right, it reminds you of the former Armenian National Team Logo..
..in fact, there really isn't any resemblence between them at all, simply beacuse the two are the one and the SAME. now if you are like me and don't believe in coincidences, you will probably and most likely think that one of them must have copied the other. So the question is, "who among us is the fuflu"?
given the idiotic and colorful and unimaginative nature of our current and former federation presidents, and the fact that the kazakh team was founded in 1963, I would have to say................and the Anoush goes to..........................ding ding ding.......... yeah Baron its very possible we may be one of the very few not playing friendlies today. why this is who knows. but its absolutely stupid considering our national team is in huge crap as well at the moment. i dont even think i wanna know why were not in a friendly cuz its probably a really stupid excuse.
November 19 (Yerevan) - The long-awaited friendly match between the Armenian National Football team against the French National Team that was supposed to take place today in Paris was canceled following an urgent meeting of the executive committee of the Football Federation of Armenia.
"We were scheduled to leave from Zvartnots airport yesterday morning, said a member of the Executive Committee who only identified himself as Samo, but Mr. Hayrapetyan's chihuahua, Princess, had mild diarrhea."
The Football Federation of Armenia has suspended all its activities, and this hiatus will be upheld until news is received from the Paris Institute of Animal Health, where Princess has been sent for urgent medical intervention. "Ara it is fortunate that we had already chartered a plane for Paris. Princess will get the care she needs", added a visibly distraught Samo, before lighting a cigarette.
Mr. Hayrapetyan could not be reached for comment, and pundits were quick to note that he was never seen leaving the executive committee's meeting. Others believe that, since the meeting was held in his living room, he may have simply gone to bed.
All Armenian national team players currently contracted to foreign clubs have been asked to refrain from participating in any competitive matches until further notice. It is expected that the Armenian National Team will be wearing a black armband for the remainder of the WC-2010 Qualifications campaign. Discussions for a new logo for the National Team, which Mr. Hayrapetyan has promised will include Princess's image, are under way.

Բետեն մի քանի տարի հանդես է եկել Երեւանի ՚Փյունիկումՙ եւ Հայաստանի տարբեր տարիքային հավաքականներում: Հենց այս ելույթների շնորհիվ նրան նկատել են Եվրոպայում եւ այժմ ազգությամբ կամերունցի դարպասապահը հանդես է գալիս հանրահայտ ՊՍԺ-ում:
՚Ֆուտբոլային գործակալներից մեկը տարիներ առաջ ինձ առաջարկեց հանդես գալ Երեւանում` ՚Փյունիկիՙ կազմում: Նա նշեց, որ Հայաստանը գրեթե չի տարբերվում Ֆրանսիայից, գտնվում է Թուրքիայի հարեւանությամբ եւ բավական տաք է այնտեղ: Բայց երբ հայտնվեցի Հայաստանում, հիասթափվեցի, քանի որ այնտեղ շատ ցուրտ էր: Եղել է, երբ -14 աստիճանի պայմաններում ենք մարզվելՙ, - ասել է սեւամորթ դարպասապահը, որը ծնվել եւ մեծացել է Կամերունում:

Բետեն հարցազրույցում նշել է, որ ՚Փյունիկըՙ 1 մլն եվրո է պահանջել իր տրանսֆերի համար եւ խոչընդոտել է ժամանակին տեղափոխվել ֆրանսիական ՚Բորդոՙ: 2006թ. Բետեն, ինչպես նաեւ նրա համերկրացի Կառլ Լոմբեն վերջնականապես լքեցին Հայաստանը` հայտնվելով Բուխարեստի ՚Ռապիդումՙ: Ներկայումս ֆուտբոլիստը դիմել է ՖԻՖԱ-ին, որպեսզի իրավունք ստանա հանդես գալ Կարեմունի հավաքականում: ՖԻՖԱ-ի կանոնադրության համաձայն` ֆուտբոլիստը մինչեւ 21-տարեկանը կարող է փոխել հավաքականը, իսկ երիտասարդական տարիքից դուրս գալու դեպքում նման իրավունք չունի:

Historic handshake wins Monaco prize
A historic handshake between the president of Armenia, Serge Sarkissian, and his Turkish counterpart, Abdullah Gül, at an international football match in Yerevan has led to a key award in the principality of Monaco.

The Peace and Sport Image of the Year Award was presented for a photograph representing the image of fraternisation through sport – the handshake between the two presidents at the FIFA World Cup qualifier between Armenia and Turkey on 6 September. This moment marked the end of nearly two decades of diplomatic silence. In front of an audience of over 300 personalities from sport, politics, business and civil life assembled for the International Peace and Sport Forum, Prince Albert II of Monaco handed the award jointly to Armen Grigorian, Armenian minister of Youth and Sport, and Mahmut Özgener, president of the Turkish Football Federation. The pair exchanged lengthy greetings on stage, creating a moment of intense emotion among the spectators.
Sport promotes peace
"President Abdullah Gül went to Yerevan to watch the football match between Armenia and Turkey with the strong conviction that sport is an important instrument for bringing people together and for promoting peace, fraternity, solidarity and tolerance," said Özgener. "In 2008, the Turkish and Armenian national teams played each other three times. The first game was between our Under-19 teams, the second between our Under-21 teams and the third between the senior national teams. These events proved to be instrumental in establishing new contacts and bridges between Turkish and Armenian football fans, journalists, members of the football federations and, last but not least, the representatives of the two governments.
'Football diplomacy'
"After the game between the Turkish and Armenian teams, UEFA president Michel Platini said publicly that this match will take its place in history books as an excellent example of football diplomacy. It is our sincere wish and hope that with the help of an ever growing number of sports events, a new relationship is going to emerge to the benefit of the two peoples."
President 'moved'
In a letter sent to the Peace and Sport Foundation, the Armenian president, Serzh Sargsyan, said: "I am really moved to learn the decision of the jury to attribute the Peace and Sport Image of the Year Award to the handshake with the president of Turkey, Abdullah Gül. I am convinced that sport is one of the best means to overcome disagreement between people and nations."
