XTPL Gameweek 8
Mutu v Quetzalcoatl
The bottom two go head to head in Gameweek 8, with only one point between them. Mutu suffered a narrow 1-0 loss in another "battle at the bottom" last week. Quetzalcoatl's first win of the season was followed by a high-scoring draw at home to Sweet Daddy Dee. As his star players come back to fitness, he'll be looking to make the most of a fixture that finished 3-4 last time around.
Ghost World v Sweet Daddy Dee
Ghost World became the seventh victim of the undefeated league leader last week, while Sweet Daddy Dee will be pleased with the point he earned. Ghost World took all three points last year, winning with the odd goal in 7.
mutu1875 v The Green One
mutu1875 was on the losing side in one of last gameweek's two nine-goal thrillers and that leaves him in the bottom half of the team. The Green One's win over Mutu last time out sees him sitting in 9th place, and he'll have fond memories of last season's 2-1 win in this very fixture.
Jibril v JD
This may have looked like a David vs. Goliath encounter on paper, until Jibril recorded a shock win away from home against The Judge last week. He scored five goals in the process, but he'll be concerned that they didn't come from his £175m sky blue strikeforce. Jibril's win, combined with JD's narrow victory over Ghost World, opens up a six point gap at the top of the table. With nobody else showing the consistency to challenge him, JD might be starting to run away with the title.
SM Online v Hunter Lionheart
Both sides were victorious last time out, though Hunter made tougher work of it. SMO will look to replicate last season's 3-1 win over the visitors, and he may be able to add Robinho to his attacking options. Hunter sits third in the table on goal difference, one point ahead of this weekend's hosts. Though he's conceded the same number of goals as SMO (19), he's scored 7 more and he'll be hoping that figure continues to rise.
Est1975 v The Judge
A 2-0 defeat at the hands of SMO stretches Est1975's run of games without a win to five. He'll expect his players to start delivering on the pitch as he looks to put some distance between himself and the foot of the table. The Judge's second consecutive loss has put a dent in his title challenge, though he remains second in the table. With four teams poised to try and usurp him, he'll need to reassert himself as a genuine contender without in-form forward Robin Van Persie.

You're right, I do remember my 2-1 victory last year fondly.
