England vs Belarus

No thread again? Our fans do suck a little.

Gerrard and Rooney are out.

Quote:
Having already sealed their qualification to the World Cup and with Gerrard and Wayne Rooney ruled out through injury, Capello plans to look at some different options against Belarus.

But he remained tight-lipped on who might feature, confirming only that Rio Ferdinand would start despite a shaky display in Dnipro.

"Rio will play tomorrow. I have big confidence in him, he needs to play and I am sure he will get better every game," said Capello.

Asked whether James Milner would start, the Italian replied: "We will have to wait 24 hours. Milner has always played very well and is one for the future.

"I think the matches in March and May are more important to arrive with good morale. This is one game to experiment.

"Rooney is a very important player for us but tomorrow we will play with a different style and some different players. It will be very interesting for me."

Capello refused to be drawn into the debate on Emile Heskey, who admitted earlier this week he may have to consider his Aston Villa future.

Heskey is regarded as a key player by Capello but the England manager has always stressed that he wants his men to play regularly at club level, something Heskey has not done so far this season.

"It is between Heskey and his club, it is not a question for me. This is all in the future and I will decide when I have to solve this problem," said Capello.

Hopefully we can finish the group in style with a nice win.

3-0 England.

Thanks. But on a forum full of people like you, 20k+ posts, been here 7 years, I didn't think it was my job to start threads...

Yeah. Anyway, our fans do suck. We play tomorrow and if it wasn't for me, you'd be talking to yourself (again).

No, as I wouldn't have even bothered making a thread.

Well the rhetoric is certainly adding more posts to what would have been an empty (or non-existent) thread again. Still failing to see why someone created a seperate forum for England, completely killed the activity.

Answering to your rebuttals about me saying how shit are fans are here from the other thread, name one 29 page thread in this forum. We hadn't qualified in a few of the threads on the first page and none are close, most are double headers as well. Not even seperate threads for each game as demand is that low. I agree with the user Capello that people have become cynical. But so have the croatian fans, they're obviously not happy about being smashed so thoroughly and on the brink of not qualifying. Yet they still have a large thread and interest.

Crouch and Gabby up front, oh joy... what wonders we will see tonight. Why the fvck aren't Cole and Bent playing together when they are in form and in Bent's case firing on all cylinders. Plus the obvious fact that they have played together in the past and were a good partnership. Hearing Carrick will be dropped when we should be playing a 4-3-3 IMO with those players, we do not have so many quality strikers that we should be playing with two when Rooney is out. Especially when they're Gabby and Crouch FFS. Plus we're at home and should expect to be able to play a passing game in midfield. And I hope to god Milner isn't starting, Adam Johnson should be miles ahead of him let alone the likes of Young.

Thats the thing I don't get with Capello when he beterays his own statements. He says he will play the best players in their best positions and only if they're playing for their clubs. Heskey doesn't play for his club yet gets called up whereas Owen does not and thats his excuse. Milner plays on the left when he is not two-footed at all and isn't setting the world alight by any means. Downing will probably walk into the team when he gets back too, same with Hargreaves. Both shit. And he states how important a DM is to the system as anyone would say, yet who is the backup for Barry and why is Barry who plays as a CM/LCM there in the first place. When Parker is far better there and a better player in general, not to mention an in form Cattermole who has been immense. And ha to those of you who laughed at me saying he could be a future international. He has helped dominate the midfield, was great away against man u for example, and setup a fair few goals as well. For the U21's he has been fantastic too.

You gave a fvck to post here!

Didn't realise Croatia were out when I had posted that. And they struggled against Kazakhstan too, lol. As bad as we were in the last qualifiers, they have exceeded all standards for shiteness.

Foster, Johnson, Ferdinand, Terry, Bridge, Lennon, Lampard, Barry, Wright-Phillips, Crouch, Agbonlahor.
Subs: Hart, Upson, Ashley Cole, Milner, Carrick, Beckham, Carlton Cole.

Foster starts?! Bridge starting, yay, hopefully we will actually pass the ball well tonight then. No Milner is good. Strikers are shit, the biggest goal threat is Lampard now.

Btw, despite not being in the original squad Gabby is still ahead of Cole? How does that make sense?

As long as it makes sense to Capello, that's all that matters.

Took just over 2 minutes for Barry to give away the ball.

lol and Crouch gets the scruffiest goal. He loves the minnows.

And to be fair, Barry pulls out a good pass after I said that.

Only with certain players!

I am talking to myself though so you should replace 'miserable' with 'sad'.

Good pace to the game so far, look like we want to score 6 tonight.

We did have a humongous thread for the Croatia game where we failed to qualify for the Euros. Croatia just got more users than we do, really. A lot of the EPL fans on XT are not England fans.
I love Svetlana Borshtynskovskiska.

Because fundamentally she is a fundamentalist terrorist.
