Confirmed Transfers/Rumors Thread

A thread for all rumors regarding Portuguese players or Portuguese clubs.

As it is a rumor thread there aren't any rules on content, but I do ask that all posts state:

The Player-The Club He Is At Now-Club Being Rumored-Transfer Fee(if applicable)

And instead of posting the entire story from the website, just paste the URL underneath the information, so that the format looks neater.

Thanks.

Falcao to Atletico Madrid for 40m + another possible 7m in incentives for 47m Euro

Ruben Micael to Atletico as well for 5m Euro

Falcao's transfer sets a new Portuguese record for highest transfer fee ever.

#502 ·
Financially it's a great deal for your club but I think Benfica fans must be rubbing their hands with the prospects of what can happen to your team's firepower this season. It's true that almost every season you have lost influential players and somehow you have managed to replace them but I just don't see how you will cope with replacing one of the top strikers in the world, because that is what Falcao really is.

#503 ·
That's ok, the same is said every year. Benfica have also lost their best player, Coentrao, and their other top two guys in Luisao and Cardozo don't even want to be there. I'm not worried. We replaced Lisandro like we will replace Falcao.

#504 ·
Coentrão's influence in Benfica's style of play is very small when compared to Falcao's in yours. Maybe you will find a good replacement but I just don't believe you will be able to get someone at his level.

From what I've seen of Kléber so far I am glad we didn't take him. He may be good on friendlies but his displays in both games against Guimarães were very poor.

BOMBA!

Bebiano Gomes about 30 minutes ago:

"Bruma has his head completely out of Sporting. He has been a free player as of June 30th. There are offers from Chelsea and Galatasaray, and yes, there is interest within Portugal from a club who recognizes his value."

He has not shown up for training today as scheduled.

His representative says he is very, very hurt by Sporting who never congratulated him on his U-20 World Cup. The only call he got from them was to tell him to come negotiate his contract. Shameful, shameful, shameful.

Where will he go now?

Your supporter group, Juve Leo, tried to abduct Bruma from his hotel last night and Bruma's agent says they were acting on behalf of the club.

:eekani: :eekani:

--

#519 ·
That was his agent, and now his guardian says the same thing.

«Eram duas da manhã quando em telefonaram. O jogador foi assediado e ameaçado por elementos da Juve Leo e teve que se refugiar junto da estação. Encostaram o carro para ele não sair», afirmou Bebiano Gomes na TVI: «O jogador protegeu-se junto à esquadra de Queluz, apresentámos queixa por uma questão de príncipio. Queremos dizer às pessoas que este não é o caminho.»

What a mess.

Trying to kidnap your own player, the President opening wars with clubs he cannot fight against, bleeding money from every direction... this is supposed to be the new Sporting?

Bruma
Is Doing whatever he can to force his way out,
Even missed a meeting with the president because he was sleeping

So what I'f he scored a couple goals against Cuba, h
A player with character like him I dont want on our club anymore. It's

Godinho lopes didn't renew his contract and put him in the first team,
Since then Bruma hasn't been open to negotiations it's that simple.
Sporting doesn't have money to satisfy him so we wants to leave. Perhaps
He feels he deserves more, after all godinho messed up our salaries do guys like bojiniv and labyad make tons of money.

As for juve Leo potentially kidnapping him,
Why would that surprise anyone ? If it was super dragoes they'd do the same thing. If Bruma was in brazil and did this he'd be at risk of being mutilated by the ultras over there.

It's funny how you defend Bruma all you want cause almost everyone can see
He's being a complete douche lord. He's proactively seeking to force himself out, his lawyer is trying to find a way to argue that his contract is expired as of June 30th (when all this time it's been known his contract is until 2014) , not even showing up to training it really is shocking stuff. Evidently it's okay to some people , sporting took this boy from poverty in guinea, offered him a opportunity to fulfill his dreams , broight him to Lisbon to nurture his development.

But no, he deserves to be a 18 year old millionaire. He ran Cuba ragged in the u20 world cup, but hey too bad Ghana wasn't Cuba. Sporting are despIcable, Bruma should be starting for Chelsea earning millions , closet full of Jordan's, bed full of white wimminz .

Porto already showed their intentions towards the new Sporting president with the shenanigans that stole Ghilas from Sporting. They simply can't forgive the fact that Sporting's president Bruno de Carvalho stood against Pinto da Costa. That's just too much for them. They will do all they can to fúck Sporting in every way they can. I actually think that 2013/14 will be one of the hardest seasons in Sporting's history, not so much because of our financial problems but simply because the whole Porto infected system will be hitching to harm us in all possible ways.

Bruma is just Episode II of this saga and surely many more are to come. Personally I couldn't give a bleedin' fùck. Any player that does what Bruma is doing is not worth of wearing Sporting's jersey. He can play for Porto for all I care because at the end of the day scum attracts scum.

Portugal is right now in one of the worst periods of our long history precisely because it is run by people like this, and the worst part of it is that the majority of Portuguese people think that scum like Pinto da Costa and his fratelli are the "wise guys" and the "examples to follow".

#523 ·
It seems that some neutral people outside of Portugal see Rui Patrício with different eyes from those of some wise guys of our santa terrinha...

Here's what the English paper The Guardian had to say about him on an article published today called "Transfer window: 10 potential January targets for Premier League clubs":

Rui Patricio (25, goalkeeper, Sporting Lisbon – Portugal)

Though hardly flavour of the month in his home county after his failed clearance gifted Israel a late equaliser last month (which ultimately proved detrimental to their direct qualification), Rui Patricio is possibly the most interesting goalkeeper outside the top five European leagues. The Portuguese No1 is an agile, athletic and temperamental shot-stopper who is slowly improving on his previous concentration issues. His stock will rise further if he can stand in the way of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sweden.

Likely fit for: Hard to imagine that Manchester City are not closely monitoring the player.

Transfer value: £15-20m

Strong rumours that Benfica will lose in the coming days three regular starters:

Matic for Chelsea
Rodrigo and Garay for Zenit

They also say that Benfica might get Luís Neto from Zenit.

eeeeeks

***

At Sporting rumours say that Nani might come on loan and that William Carvalho might enter in the business as Man Utd could get the priority in case of a future transfer.

***

Things at Porto are as silent as Joshua after the stuffing of last Sunday.

#526 ·
If you don't win the league this season I'm sure he'll be transfered in the summer...but if he goes to Porto, as the Farting Pope wants, I also think you may see your president being transfered. :D

#527 ·
Well, first place was good while it lasted. lol. I dont understand what JJ and FLV are doing. If this was the summer ok maybe but arguably our three mvp all at the same time and in January ? Just goes to show. With FLV, its all about making money/big sales. The hell with competing on the field. FLV and JJ must go. I would not even mind so much if they were going to start using Portuguese youth players in their place but we all know they refuse to. Sorry, just venting, frustrated at JJ and FLV vision of this team. Gutting the team, I guess at least we dont have to wait until the end of the season to self destruct this year.......

#528 ·
The problem is that LFV made a high bet in the summer by keeping all the players with a market, due to his, and JJ's, megalomaniac ideas of "going all the way" in the CL. Your elimination in the group stage was absolutely catastrophic and this is the price to pay for it. Horrible management if you ask me.

#530 ·
update on the transfer rumours...

At Benfica it is now clear that Matic will move to Chelsea. He is now in London doing his medicals. It is believed that he will be sold by €25M which is exactly half of his buy-out clause - the one that Benfica's president swore he would be sold for exactly one year ago. :D

Some English press say that one or two Chelsea reserve players will go the other way (Gaël Kakuta is the name more often mentioned) but today's front cover of A Bola, paper closely linked to Benfica, says that no other players are involved in the deal.

No more news about Zenit's interest on Rodrigo and Garay.

***

At Sporting the Nani rumour goes on being talked but it seems Fulham is also interested in having him.

***

At Porto rumours say that several Italian top clubs plus Liverpool are after Fernando, Man City made an offer for Mangala and Defour wants to leave either to Anderlecht or Aston Villa. No news of any further arrivals yet.
