Last game of the season which will most likely be remembered for the final games for Bert :proud: , Johnny Metgod, Kees Van Wonderen :star: , Robin Van Persie, Gerard de Nooijer, Mariano Bombarda, Gill Swerts and most probably our Chilean friend Jorge Kike Acuña. THe TIFO will be doing their best I read.

Hopefully the team won't spoil it with a poor performance like against Groningen when Bert broke Ernst Happels record. Zwolle will be up for it obviously cos of their low position. As for our team news, its pretty much the same as last week. Van Wonderen won't be fit enough to start but he'll get time in the second half to come on as a sub to play his final game in professional football.
Van Persie won't play however cos he's been in London all week.

A very nice goodbye for Bertje, Kees and Robin.

Haven't watched it yet but Danko and Kuijt both scored 3, so there's hope for the future.

Zwolle basically got destroyed by Feyenoord. Lazo scored 2 in the first 10 minutes and the game was over before it really had it's start. Kuijt added 2 more goals before halftime and climbed the topscorer charts some more. In the second half Paauwe headed home, Kuijt and Lazo both added one more for a nice total of 7.

As I said before, a very nice goodbye for those leaving/quitting. Bertje even seemed to get a little emotional and a banner was put up to remind him 'het legioen' is grateful for winning the UEFA Cup. Kees and Robin also said their goodbyes along with Swerts which was nice.

Excellent result ! good to see us finishing off sides for once, since we always tend to win like 1-0 at de Kuip when we're supposed to win with 4 or 5 goals.

Zwolles defence was shocking but that doesn't take anything away from us. Kuijt was very good, probably man of the match as was Lazovic :cool: who'll no doubt be full of confidence going into the new season after this.

Kuijt now ends on 20 goals for the season with Buffel on 14. Very good and also we're the only team to have their 2 attackers with such high number of goals. Van Persie, Lurling, Smolarek and Lazovic finished round the 6 goal mark which is good. We do however need some more goals from our central midfield duo Ghali and Ono, since in our kampioenschapjaar Bosvelt scored about 8 if I remember correctly, but they're just together so they can only get better.

We also have got as many points as we did last season (or near abouts) when we also ended third, so Pierre isn't such a big miss afterall. Our team also is a lot younger without Bosvelt. We can only go up, up and up. Really looking forward to next season :cool:
