We don't do well vs. South American teams.

I think Chile takes this, unfortunately.

Looking at the squads these are like Z class teams. What's the point of this?

The official line from the HNS was the promotion of Croatian football (its players and coaches) in China.

Unofficially, it's a good little earner for the HNS and an opportunity to give some HNL guys senior NT status.

On the field it's absolutely meaningless since we're fielding players (outside of 1-2) who not only aren't anywhere near NT potential but also never will be. And we're playing opposition who are sending severely weakened teams.

1-1 in regulation after Livakovic blunders and gives up the first goal of the match on a very savable shot. It was low but it was basically right next to him

and Croatia loses on penalties

now we face China in the 3rd place match this weekend

If not for Livaković, Chile pumps in 4 or 5 goals easily!! And there is absolutely no chance of penalty kicks. He is far and away the MOTM, it is not even debatable.

If you’re looking for a more accurate description of blunders/disgracefulness, look no further than the amount of penalty kick goals his team provided when the net measures 8 feet high and 24 feet wide.

Well you just need something to fill the void that's left in your life. Lois has her knitting, Chris has his video games, Meg's learning how to drive, and me, I like the sauce…

good to know... I only saw a clip of the Chile goal, nothing else from the match

do you agree the one Livakovic let in was very savable? Seems like it was within 2 feet of his left leg with a clear few of the player shooting and the shot/ball coming at him
