same here. been to Cancun twice, it surely is one of the most amazing places to visit. Have u been to that mall called "la isla"

its an oput dorr shopping mall with restraurants and everything and some pats of it are built upon sea wetaer and this is probbably why they called it las isla, whcih trasnlates as the island

Springbreak in Cancun is fun but hell trashy too. But it is one hell of an expereince

I went to the boose cruise which was probbaly the funniest of them all....

Carlito you are right, Zagreb is very beautiful and historical many nice churches and stuff like that. Also if you are a guy there alot of good looking women. Also if you can't speak Croatian you don't have to worry becuase alot of people who live there can speak good english. Although alot of the city is nice and good alot of the parts are "ghetto" not that they have crime but its dirty and alot of graffiti mainly done by the BBB. The worst part of Zagreb I think is Maksimir, but in Maksimir they got a zoo, nice big park and you can see Stadion Maksimir where Dinamo Zagreb play and the Croatian NT plays. The best part is the city center, they have alot of shops and many historic statues and good places to eat. If you do decide to go there I hope you enjoy it and hope you do have alot of fun.

I have been through Europe but I did it with my family as a bit of a holiday when we were living in Cyprus. I can't really say I have backpacked through, I would really like to hear some stories though!

Hong Kong
Germany (Constance, Munich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, plus some other smaller cities, towns and villages.)
Switzerland (Zürich, Basel... etc; and only around the German-speaking regions)
France (Strasbourg for 1/2 day! :embarass: )
Belgium (Brussels and Brugge)
Great Britain (London, Manchester and Leeds... it was more a football trip. I visited the grounds and saw some games! )
Holland (Amsterdam)
Macau
China (only the very south of it: Guangzhou and somewhere near Zhongshan)
Singapore (only the airport! )
Thailand (again, only the airport in Bangkok! )

... not many places, but considering that my younger brothers and parents never have the chance to be anywhere out of Asia; and my father and I are the only ones who travelled by aeroplanes before. I feel lucky.

Why did you not just ask me directly Gary?

You could see my grandma in Stockholm.

Well on a serious note. You did as you know choose a bad time to visit Sweden and those cities, since it will eb some rain/snow mix that you most likely will meet, I would say it would be better up where I live where there at least is permanent snow (despite the warm days we had). In Stockholm you need to walk trough the old city as Sidji mentioned, I also recommend visiting the royal castle of "Drottningholm". It's two castles, the one that sidji mentioned you can't miss since it is in connection to the old city. On a side note have I standed guard at both these castles during my military service. You may wanna see the unusal stadium in Stockholm too, called "Globen" (The globe), it looks like a big white ball, icehockey is usually played there, personally I only seen Sting play there. It's quite easy to keep track of central Stockholm, you can draw a line from the old city and north. If you exit the old city to the north you will probably pass trough the govermental building and go up the most shop heavy street called "drottninggatan" (queens street) up until "Sergels torg" a plaza that is usually the point where I start up my ventures into Stockholm. the train station is very close to "Sergels torg" (a bit west of it).

Gothenburg, I only been there in the summers and I have not seen any of the castles Sidji mentioned. Of most note was it's amusement park, that I believe is closed this time of the year. I personally think Gotherburg is Swedens most beautiful city... in the summer, now since you will be there in this pissy time of the year I bet you won't get that impression.

... Seems I was not that much help despite being to those cities several times.

In the end only memories remain.
