Gevorg Ghazaryan

Well fellas, I still can't believe this is happening but it is.

Here's a thread where we can talk/argue/fight/cry about Gev's hopefully productive and storied career at his new club.

He shall be my new Haxball username in honor of this amazing transfer.

Really though, this should push him a bit over the top, and if he can keep his consistent play while improving, it'll be what we need for the first few months of the next cycle

I still can't believe he's going to be part of a CL team while Yura and Aras are stuck at Spartak.

One of the most consistent armenian playersaccording to me, don't understand the hate here. Especially as people seem to worship Aras...I also like Ozbiliz but let's to be serious, the guy is very inconsistent and lose sooooo many balls, just look at Algeria second goal, it was 100 % his fault.

Ghazaryan dribbles are more safe than Aras ones, he knows how to use his body to protect the ball. He also scored many important goals for NT, even if "lucky" ones.

Why? Gevorg was with Karagandy already closer to the CL than Yura/Aras with Spartak.

Come back when Gevorg manages to score in the Old Trafford.

Halfhay , I'm sorry but Aras is a couple of calibers above Ghazaryan.

Ghazaryan actually ruins more than he does for the NT, Heno and Yura build up an attack and then trust Ghazaryan to score EASY ASS goals but he just can't, he ruined the opportunity vs czech republic, let's be honest guys that shouldn't have been a goal. He ruined a open goal against Germany.

It's better that Yura and Heno don't pass him and finish from long distance or from a bad angle than trusting Gevorg and passing him.

And yet he was our 2nd highest goalscorer and the 2nd highest goalscorer in general during the Euro 2012 qualification campaign:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Eu..._B#Goalscorers

And none of his goals were penalties.

This was pre-Aras, though.

they are both good players and are both very important. ghazaryan is an overall very balanced player and he is extremely important on defense. let's not do a whose better. they both add a dimension we need.

This was pre-Aras, though.
2 of his goals was against Kazakhstan in a friendly
His first Slovakia goal was because of a deflection from the goalie so he could just kick it in from half a meter in a open goal.
His second Slovakia goal was a pass from Heno which he just touched tossed in a goal without a keeper.

His Macedonia game was a pass from Yura which he volleyed in from 1 m.

His czech goal shouldn't really have been a goal.

Andorra goals lol.

I don't want to upset our superstitious members but he will just continue to screw up in our NT freeloading from Yura, Aras and Heno.

Although I'm far from the biggest Ghazaryan fan, he has shown flashes of "brilliance." Let's see what he can do with better training, coaches and players around him at Olympiacos. He can only get better.
