Boris, mate, over in the WWE forum you'd at least get some replies back. We consider the Czechs to be the ultimate EE side. Even if this team is going through a slight dip.

You're welcome to join us here though: World Cup 2018 Qualifiers

WC 2018 campaign is pretty much over after 3 matches. I expected a public outcry for Jarolim's head in November after 4 matches and we seem to be on course for that. My observations after another depressing result below:

1) Pelta looks like a fool in trying to get Jarolim from MB. Clearly Jarolim is not cut out for international duty, he's in the same mold of Petr Rada, another abysmal failure. Good on domestic front but clueless on the international stage. Under his guidance MB exited Europa League at the first hurdle to some unfancied opponents. And he showed zero tactical awareness in Slavia's Champions League disasters

2) Pelta needs to clean up his own mess here or quit. No one expects us to compete with Germany but results against the likes of NI and Azerbaijan are expected. It's not just results but performances are unwatchable

3) Jarolim is not tasked with building a new team. He's tasked with finishing second in this group and making playoffs, this seems out of reach now

4) There is nothing to learn from these matches. What can we learn from a defeat to Germany? That Petrzela and Suchy are not good enough? We already know it. Coach's main task is to deliver the best result given the players he has.

5) It's clear that tactics are completely missing and strategy is non existent from Jarolim. He essentially adapted Vrba's approach of using 2 wingers Krejci & Skalak (Petrzela), a DM (Pavelka/Droppa), 2 CMs (Dockal, Kadlec/Schick) and 1 CF. But Skalak has always been awful on the wing and Kadlec seemed totally unsure of his role in this match. I don't recall him even getting a touch. Seems like all of the playmaking was left out to Dockal who is a better shooter and can score from distance and Droppa who doesn't have technical ability/passing skills to distribute the ball.

6) Players do not seem to have any belief in the current system which is clear from their facial expressions and at times desperate shots, passes or fouls. We created pressure for the first 5 minutes of the match and last 5 minutes and in the interim there was nothing else of notice.

Jarolim's nightmare aka 2018 WC Qualification campaign is about to resume today with a must-win fixture against Norway. The line-up is below:

Vaclík – Kadeřábek, Sivok, Brabec, Novák – Krejčí, Droppa, Hořava, Dočkal, Zmrhal – Krmenčík.

My immediate thoughts: 2 players who simply do not have quality for the international game: Droppa and Hořava are picked as starters. The most logical line up for me would have been to play Gebreselassie, best player on the pitch against Azerbaijan, as RB, move Kadeřábek to the wing. Pair up Skalak and Dočkal in the middle and play either Kalas or Pavelka as DM.

Despite 1-0 lead at the half-time we've been absolutely awful. Other than Kaderabek, Krejčí and occasionally Dočkal, this team can't put 3 passes together. The play is completely uncoordinated and disorganized. Possession is 40-60 for Norway, we can only seem to kick the ball away in a desperation mode. If not for Norwegian's woeful finishing and decision making in the final third this Jarolim squad is primed for slaughter. Defenders rush under pressure with their passing and there is very limited link-up play between Droppa and Hořava. Zmrhal is completely useless and loses the ball every time while Krmenčík has been limited other than his goal. His ability to hold up the ball and bring midfield into the play is missing.

Not watching, but at least you're up 2-0. A lifeline in this tight group? (outside of Germany of course)

Nah, both teams are complete sht tbh and will not qualify for even playoffs. N Ireland looks like the team to finish 2nd in this group as their players at least know wtf to do on the field. I don't recall Czech NT to be in such dire shape, lack of coordination in defense/midfield, lack of organization. Total reliance on individual brilliance and opponents' mistakes...This was a Dockal/Kaderabek show similar to what we've seen from NT in 2014 under Vrba. The difference between Vrba and Jarolim is that this show lasted for about 30-40 minutes under Vrba and no more than 15 minutes under Jarolim. The rest of the squad played a role of spectators. Krejčí was useful in attack at times, Krmenčík ran his socks off despite his obvious limitations (poor man's Libor Kozak), Zrmhal did well for the goal but otherwise was useless. Others are just limited players and performed as expected (Horava, Droppa, Novak). This lack of quality explains our 35% possession, although Jarolim should have made changes earlier and brought in fresh legs to finish Norway off. Instead we allow a goal that was coming for the last 30 minutes after Sivok's mistake and could have lost points here

Yeah there's a guy on a Croatian board I read who lives in Czech Republic and basically said both teams are complete crap. I also believe this group will provide the worst runner-up anyway, outside of Germany/San Marino these teams will drop too many points
