The train ride between Sarajevo and Mostar will be back in time for next summer. I'd recommend going to Sarajevo, taking the train to Mostar and then taking a day trip to Kravica waterfalls and Pocitelj (a small 16th century Bosnian town near the Croatian border).

If you need any help regarding logistics feel free to ask.

There's a bus from Mostar to Split/Dubrovnik in Croatia which I took two years ago and it wasn't too bad.

Wally it really depends what you want to see, how much time you want to spend, what interests you and so on. I'm in BIH every few months and I have visited most interesting places between Sarajevo and Mostar. You can also send me a pm if you prefer that.

I'm more of a stroller. Like visiting the odd museum, religious place of worship then get lost while walking.

The centrotrans link looks good. Should help.

What's tourism in Bosnia like btw? when I spent a day in Belgrade city centre during a long stopover, I only came across Russians. The Exit Festival in Novi Sad is probably the main attraction in Serbia at the moment for younger tourists. Rest is not really well known, though Belgrade's flight connections are now improving. Could I again not come across a fellow Dutchman? which would be a relief.

The top 10 nationalities who visited last year (2015) were:

1 Croatia 84.058
2 Turkey 70.655
3 Serbia 66.473
4 Italy 50.346
5 Slovenia 45.635
6 Poland 31.681
7 South Korea 29.973
8 Germany 25.516
9 Austria 18.911
10 United States 18.361

With somewhat of a rise in Arab tourists in the last few months as well.

If you're interested mainly in cultural and historical monuments (as I am) then you should definitely consider the route Sarajevo-Mostar-Stolac-Pocitelj as they all have museums, old towns and centuries-old places of worship.

Great overview of the possibility of an appeal to the SiCG vs BiH case in this documentary, especially from 12:00 onwards. However, it looks like it most likely won't happen. Bakir fails again

I don't think there is any point because in this current political climate there is no way the International community will let a majority Muslim nation win a case against another country.

It's just throwing money and resources into nothing I'm afraid.

I believe that Bakir, when asked in June 2016, confirmed that absolutely nothing had been prepared for an appeal to the ICJ. Now he plans to gather all the evidence and submit the appeal for such a huge case in less than 4 weeks? WTF?

Either way, the international courts seem as though they are deliberately trying to hide the complicity of Serbia in the Yugoslav Wars for some reason or another. It seems they don't want to create such a situation which could lead to reparations or revisions. This can be seen in the acquittal of Perisic, Simatovic, Stanisic & others, despite first instance verdicts which sentenced them to >25 years of prison.

lol yeah right

the only thing you could have said worse than this was Alija's famous "Mirno spavajte rata nece biti" line...

Serbia knows that in the next 2 years they have their best chance in a century to carve out republika srpska as a separate state. Nisu djaba kupili mig-ove i PVO sistema od Rusije i Belorusije.

Same probably goes for the Croats and herzeg-bosna too.
