Lili, can I have that phrase? It is classic!
I can think of a couple of guys I'd like to ask it of...
"LOVE": Is difficult. Its difficult to have, diffcult to keep and difficult to make (and I don't mean that as a stupid double-entendre...its just very hard). But in all its difficulty, it is so definately worth all the trouble. Like they say, its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
"Love Letter": Done them a couple of times, becuase I write much better than I speak (I stutter, especially in the presence of people I like). Have had mixed results. Some people are just too stupid to get it when you are making an important point...or maybe I am not direct enough.
"Un coup de foudre": The French have the best terms for things! A few times, and they always were a bad idea in the end. Once I was at a party and getting ice out of the ice bucket in the kitchen (yep, I am a wild thing!
), when a boy came in to get some ice for his drink. He said, "hello", and I just got the sudden thunderbolt flash that "this is the love of my life". One thing led to another and it was suddenly 4 in the morning (where did all that time go, I have no idea), as we'd been talking since 10 pm, and he didn't leave (figuratively) for like seven years. So that was the only good one--and since we broke up in great recrimination a couple of years ago, it was bad in the end. :depress:
