Winter Mercato 2016/17

First new signing is Matteo Scozzarella, a midfielder that currently plays for Trapani in Serie B.

He's played 14 games for them this season which is decent, but they are rooted to the bottom of the table.

Matteo Scozzarella - player profile 16/17 | Transfermarkt

We appear to be close to signing Munari back from Cagliari which would be a great signing. However, with the purchase of Scozzarela I wonder if it might have been a one or the other situation.

It also looks like we are trying to sign a goalkeeper to give Zommers some competition.

I think with a smart market and current momentum we can really make a push in the second half of the season.
KLP and hendyir like this.

It looks like a good start. We need to do some smart business in this mercato if we're seriously aiming for promotion.

Munari would be a good signing if we can get him. I always thought he was a good utility player when he was here first time around.

The fans on facebook seemed very happy with the signing of Scozzarella, i know nothing of him but there wasnt one negative comment which is good. Munari was always decent so a midfield consisting of him, scozzarella, corapi/scavone etc would be very good and should allow us to control the games more than we do at the moment.

Fingers crossed

Melandri has gone to Fano. Faggiano has said we'll make 4-5 major purchases, which seems positive. Looks like we're looking offload a few players who've failed to make an impact this season.

Glad Melandri has gone, nothing against him but it shows we are ambitious in trying to get better players in to push on hopefully, if we can get another 3 in to improve the first team it would be a major boost

Agazzi used to be a decent keeper but hasnt played for a while if i'm right, de ceglie would be a massive improvement on what we have

De Ceglie probably a pipe of dream. He havent played at all this season but interest from Serie A clubs is still there.

We've signed Pierluigi Frattali, a goalkeeper from Avellino as well now
